- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 90 reviewsDuring our road trip we made a 3 day stop in Moab and stayed at the Sun Outdoors in an Airstream. Check-in was smooth, polite and courteous. The "Airstream" was pretty new and equipped with everything you need. We also had a larger one which had 2 double beds and a bunk bed. Since there were only two of us, we had plenty of space. On the terrace in front with the Adirondack Chairs you can relax perfectly. There is a grill, which could be operated with a wood fire, which we did not use. The location, between Arches NP and Moab, although located on a road, was absolutely quiet and relaxing. If you book accommodation directly in Moab on the main commercial street, the traffic and hustle and bustle can be quite annoying and noisy. There is a pool on site, but it's very small for the complex, as lodges, RV sites, and tent sites are also rented out. There are a total of 8 "Airstreams" with the associated parking space. The "Airstream" was very clean, the shower and toilet work smoothly, and the large fridge with a large freezer and gas stove allow you to live completely self-sufficiently. Since we liked it so much on the first day, we immediately extended another day on site, since the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. "Sun Outdoors, Moab" is an absolute recommendation and we would book it again at any time. LG from Germany!Guest review byAnnikaGermany
- From £279.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 479 reviewsWe visited from the UK and this was by far the best hotel of our trip. We almost missed out due to a cancelled flight, but the lodge kindly moved our booking to the next night at no extra charge — an amazing gesture that set the tone for the whole experience. The location is honestly out of this world. The drive from Moab to the lodge (about 15 minutes) was one of the most breathtaking we’ve ever done — towering red cliffs, winding river, absolutely unreal views. Even before we arrived, we were blown away. Check-in was warm and friendly — we were greeted with homemade cookies and helpful info about the lodge and the nearby national parks. Our cabin was spotless, fully equipped, and we could park right outside which made everything so convenient. But the balcony and view stole the show. Looking out over the Colorado River with those dramatic cliffs rising all around — we genuinely spent hours just sitting out there in awe. It’s hard to describe how peaceful and beautiful it is, but it was unforgettable. Didn’t try the breakfast but I grabbed a takeaway coffee and, as with everything else, the staff were lovely. If you’re staying in Moab, this place is a must. The setting is like nothing else.Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,398 reviewsRustic Inn is a perfect motel. I was upgraded to a double room (second floor), which has a kitchen compartment equipped with basic utensils/dishes. The room is spacious, has a desk and a closet with stool for a suitcase. Good for week-long stays. Bed is comfy with more than enough pillows. Nothing is new, but clean and not worn out. The air conditioner keeps the room pleasant even when outside the temperature is 100 Fahrenheit. Parking is in front of the units. No breakfast is served on weekdays, but coffee and tee are continuously available at the reception. On Saturdays and Sundays good donuts are served. Location is good, just behind the Best Western on the main street. Groceries are within three blocks. From the first floor red hillsides can be seen. The pool quite large, even for swimming and is very pleasant on hot days. Bathrobes can be picked up at the pool entrance. Marty was very nice at the reception; he advised me to go to Arches N.P. early morning. The entrance to Arches is a 10-minute drive and there is no line at 6:30 am (the crowd arrives after 7 am, all rushing to Delicate Arch, completely filling up the parking lot from about 8 am till 9:20).Guest review byG12Hungary

We had an issue with our arrival day and they happily adjusted the our stay dates with only 24 hours notice at no extra charge. We ended up extending our stay to enable more sight seeing around Moab. Short walk to shopping and restaurants. Clean room and very comfortable.Guest review byMelissaAustralia

Moab itself is a little expensive and a little crowded, but what do you expect from a town next door to two National Parks and a state park? Dead Horse Point State Park, Canyonlands National Park, and Arches National Park are amazing! If you are going to the parks, Moab is the place to stay. There are plenty of restaurants, many hotels of all kinds, and lots of attractions. Anyone interested in outdoor activities will find something to like in Moab.Guest review byJayFUnited States - 10.0

This was a really nice respite after a long day of driving from ID. Green River itself is pretty desolate, but the motel made up for the long journey. I only stayed one night as I was traveling further the next day to Grand Junction, CO. The pool and hottub made it extra relaxing. I did not eat out.Guest review byDiane - 8.0

The area around Blanding is beautiful and unique. There’s lots to see if you’re into history and unique scenery. Be sure to have a pickup or SUV with good clearance and awd/4wd for the best experience traveling around there.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 8.0

I came to Utah to visit Moab after arriving in Moab all hotels were sold out so we ended up in Monticello. After getting to the hotel I was kinda leary looked old and kinda run down but to find out someone had just bought the hotel and was in process of refurbishing it. Our room was very nice beds were comfortable and the room was clean no mold. I would definitely stay here again friendly people Beautiful stateGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Mt. Peale Country Inn is REMOTE, and just what we wanted.
Mt. Peale Country Inn is REMOTE, and just what we wanted. Set amid forested mountains and meadows, it's perfect for star gazing and vegging out. In the mornings and evenings, deer and jack rabbits wander right up to the viewing deck. The spacious common rooms let us mingle with other guests or just do our own thing. Amanda and her daughter are attentive and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more. We're returning next spring and bringing a friend with us!Guest review byWilsonUnited States - 8.0

There isn't a town center, but it was the perfect spot between Monticello and Blanding. Not much was open in March in Monticello and only one place named Yaks serves breakfast in Blanding. Many more options for other meals in Blanding including a darling ice cream shop. We loved touring the working Cedar Mesa Pottery shop there and finding great deals on their seconds. And there is a hike to 5 Kiva Pueblo ruins some of our group enjoyed.Guest review byCastillo - 10.0

Fun town with nice shops and food. The scenery is amazing whether you are mountain biking, hiking or off-roading. The town lacks good bars, but that is Utah. We had dinner at the Broken Oar and it was one of the best burgers I have had.Guest review byAndrew - 6.0

Conveniently off the highway, not much stuff to do in the area though. There is a few gas stations, and a local Mexican restaurant with some decent food. All locations were on the same main street which made it very easy to navigate.Guest review byDonovianUnited States - 2.0
I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding.
I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding. The town offers nothing worthwhile. The motel was overpriced and the only decent restaurant in town was laughable. We fueled up in town before leaving the next morning and twenty miles down the road, gas was almost $.30 a gallon cheaper. I wish we had driven the extra 100 miles to Kayenta, AZ.Guest review byPatrickUnited States - 8.0

Monticello is the best base to visit The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. It takes about an hour to get to the visitor center - if you do not make any stops on your way. But the surrounding nature is wonderful, so you probably make lots of stops to take photos. The road into the national park in Indian Creek Canyon is very scenic. Monticello is a small and quiet town. There's nothing to do there except to spend your night. There are two pizza saloons (the medium pizza costs $15), a Mexican restaurant which had a growing line of customers in the evening and a Thai restaurant which is probably the most expensive in town (minimum $20 for a meal, no drinks). Its worth to go and have a look at a Mormon temple on the edge of town - it is beautiful.Guest review byPriitEstonia
