- From £135.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 523 reviewsThe location was awesome! I loved the sink that was in the main area with the coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Only 4 rooms on our floor and by the time we left we knew most of the other vacationers. Felt more like an apartment than a hotel room.Guest review byTameraUnited States

I love Buxton... Just a minutes walk to get to the beach.
I love Buxton... Just a minutes walk to get to the beach. Plenty of restaurants in the area. You can get a good meal at Angelos Pizza, where they serve Italian dishes, subs, hamburgers and many flavors of hand-dipped ice cream. They have an assortment of arcade games, which were fun to play. My husband's favorite was The Cockeyed Clam, were the fried clams and shrimp were excellent. The local bar and Grill (POPS), is my most favorite, serving fried seafood, other items, at a very reasonable price. Conners Grocery store has just about anything you need and more. Delii meats/cheeses and sides are always fresh and they have unique items you can't find at Food Lion. Best place for Fresh Raw Seafood is Buxton Seafood with great customer service is about 1.5 miles from the Hatteras Island Inn. The Hatteras Island Inn is where you find caring staff, the most comfy beds and all the beach you need for a very reasonable price. All of these excellent qualities of Buxton is why we like to spend many mini vacations and long vacations on Hatteras Island throughout the year.Guest review bydeborahUnited States - 10.0
Avon is a fun, family friendly town.
Avon is a fun, family friendly town. There is something for everyone there. Although I am old, I really got a kick out of the ice cream truck that came by the house with music, and even bubbles. The ice cream was delicious too.Guest review byCarollUnited States - 10.0
We love the less crowded scene at Hatteras.
We love the less crowded scene at Hatteras. If you like kicking back and enjoying the ocean, sunrises and sunsets, fishing and just chilling out this is for you. If you want tons of stuff to do, lots of bars, loud beach scene, fast food chains and hundreds of restaurants, etc. etc. Go somewhere elseGuest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0

Frisco is a quiet village on the southern part of Hattaras island (NC outer banks). There are a lot of great places to eat close by plus to grocery stores which has everything you would need. It is close to the light-house and the ferry to Ocracoke. If you want a quiet family friendly get away to unwind and relax. Then this is the place for you.Guest review byRussellUnited States - 10.0
We love Buxton for it's out of the way feel.
We love Buxton for it's out of the way feel. We enjoy the private owned businesses instead of large corporate eateries. The beaches are beautiful and uncrowded. We will continue to come to Buxton for the natural beauty of it.Guest review byLisaUnited States - 8.0
I've been going to Avon (and Rodanthe) for many years.
I've been going to Avon (and Rodanthe) for many years. People are friendly If I were to make a negative comment it would be a lack of places to eat non-seafood fare. They are there but very few of them!Guest review byRonaldUnited States - 10.0

We took a chance on the weather being so late in February but it worked out. Not a lot of people during that time so seemed we had the whole complex and island to ourselves. Had sun and temps were mid 60's. Best part was just exploring the OBX from Carova Beach to Ocracoke Island. We had a 4 wheel drive vehicle and got the $50 permit to drive on all the beaches. That was one of the coolest things we ever did. A lot of places were still closed for the season but we found enough open to enjoy ourselves. Overall just a real relaxing time.Guest review byJames - 6.0

A very nice area that was not as near crowded as the other areas we visited. Traffic was light, food, groceries, gas, rentals close by. A couple top notch restaurants and lots of spots to get a drink or snack. Beach was not crowded even with people fishing. Really layed back.Guest review byCobb - 10.0
Hatteras is a beautiful town. Very peaceful and quiet.
Hatteras is a beautiful town. Very peaceful and quiet. The ferry to Ocracoke Island was right next to our condo. The entrance to the beach was a short walk down the street. Also, right down the street was the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Very interesting--make sure to watch the film before you enter the museum room. Diamond Shoals Restaurant in nearby Buxton had the most amazing food! The Hatteras Lighthouse is a short drive, and well worth it.Guest review byAliceUnited States
