The pool was very good, the facilities in general were very clean, well painted, everything looked very good. The reception staff incredibly friendly. It is a pet friendly hotel as well as the beach, so our dog also enjoyed his stay. It has a small patio to take pets out which is also clean and pleasant, and all pet owners try to keep it in the same conditions we found it: completely clean. If you want a quiet place that is safe with a good beach on the North Carolina coastline then it is a good place to go. If you are looking for a lively place with lots to do other than the beach not so much. If it rains there is not much to do. They have a small theater and a good aquarium very close by but not much else. So if the beach is your main thing and you are fortunate to have great weather than you will like it. Your representation isn’t accurate currently as to what’s really going on. They are under renovation. Didn’t get room I paid for bc things weren’t working. Brought us an extension cord in order to have outlets to use. They had HGTV there and it’s very limited in choices and everything is slapped together at the moment with spit and glue. The people were kind that work there and we had place to ourselves. Only clients. So I’ll not book through your site again bc no one would refund me. Everyone threw the other one under bus. The room and bed were comfy, with a balcony to relax on watching the sound and animals outside. Pat makes exceptional breakfast with fancy bread and fresh fruit daily! It's only 30min to fort Macon beach, and 10 from ferry for Harkers Island and Shackleford Banks where you can see wild horses! If you want to unplug & unwind then Harker's Island is it! This place is remote and quiet... however can get to necessities. Not much on Harker's Island itself for food except couple places & they are decent. The Dollar General is best value for supplies. Small beach access just as you cross bridge to Island. I liked my room last year, but not this year's. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. I recommend taking the Shackleford Ferry and tour to see the wild horses! Buy the bug wipes from the hotel, wear your bathing suit to swim, and bring something to put all your cool seashells in. The pizza restaurant down the street is very delicious! Everything was great about our trip. We have stayed in Emerald Isle many times. This was the first time staying at the Pebble beach community and the only thing we feel could be improved is the ramp to walk down to the beach was covered with a LOT of sand. One of the main reasons I booked in this community was this ramp! My son has difficulty with steps so I was so excited. Well, the sand covered the bottom half of the ramp so it made it difficult for him to walk on it. It was a LOT of sand. The stairs ended up being the better option. We just needed to take it slow and other guests were very patient. The community should have someone in charge of clearing the sand on this ramp daily or having it is pointless. VA Beach has similar ramps every 4 blocks and they are cleared off daily so guests can use strollers, wheelchairs, walkers etc. It was not just us who struggled. I witnessed families with strollers also struggle. Everything else about our unit and the community were great!Guest review byBethUnited States
