Grand lake is a cute little town with easy access to Rocky Mountain national park. A lot of neat little shops and restaurants and a big selection of places to stay. Really nice area to visit RMNP.
Really nice area to visit RMNP. I've always gone to Estes Park, but this side is more tranquil and has a variety of different activities to enjoy besides the RMNP (without the long entry lines and large amount of visitors on the trails) - lake kayaking, river float fishing, whitewater rafting, etc. Limited restaurant options, etc., but really quaint town right on the lake.Guest review byIanUnited States - 10.0
Getting around Grand Lake is very easy.
Getting around Grand Lake is very easy. If you go in the warmer months - be sure to go kayaking (or your watercraft choice) on the lake! It is SOOOO beautiful & peaceful. If you go in the winter - check out the snow shoeing or cross country skiing at the golf course (tip - you can take your dog with you!!).
