- From £243.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 765 reviewsThe hotel is a renovated old warehouse. This turn on the century all concrete structure is really cool and very quiet. I'm sure the uniqueness of the building made room design a challenge. Our suite had a kitchen, couch and bedroom. The TV in the living are was on the wall 90 degrees from the couch, ad the couch was 1 foot from that wall. The same in the bedroom. Good thing we had things planned in Duluth and didn't watch TV. We had it on for morning news, that was about it. The breakfast is incredible.Guest review byThomasUnited States
- From £426.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 84 reviewsI have given all categories the highest rating, which is not good enough. This place is heaven on earth. We felt so homely that we extended our stay. The suit is lovely furnished, has everything that you need, including washing and dryer. The view on the lake is stunning and you have the beach just outside the terrace. In the morning you see the sun rising from your bed. I will hopefully be able to come back to this quiet and peaceful place.Guest review byAnnetteSwitzerland

Obviously the place is outdated but it’s very very clean and the staff are very professional kind and nice. The thing that surprised me was how quick they turn over rooms. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something simple. Don’t let me forget. They have an actually very impressive breakfast.Guest review byAnthonyUnited States

We visit Duluth every year for City On The Hill Music Festival. This time we were there for the Tall Ships Festival Of Sail 2025. So, 2 times in 2025. We ate at Grandma's and Little Angie's - both I would highly recommend!!! We also ate at the Duluth Perkin's - also a great choice!!! We always go to the Portland Malt Shop for Ice Cream or a Malt - delicious, but expect a lengthy wait in line. We took a cruise on the Vista Star, which is always fun and relaxing!!! We visited Two Harbors another day. And went to Burlington Station and Callie's for some unique Fudge - Pistachio, Cookies and Cream, and Cotton Candy flavors, and Popcorn. Love Duluth and the Two Harbors areas!!!Guest review byJacquelineUnited States - 10.0

Downtown Marquette is really fun.
Downtown Marquette is really fun. We were there on a Saturday and found a great clothing store (which was having a sale). We had a fun meal in a sports bar with a view located on Washington St. They have fixed up the downtown nicely and have art work and places to walk around. It is a pleasant city center. There is a lake front park too. Marquette in the summer is a surprise. It is an old town but is a college town which gives it a nice ambience. Not certain about the winter but I have been told there is lots of sport activity in summer and winter.Guest review bySANDRAUnited States - 6.0

Just passing through on a roundtrip, so not much to say.- nothing much going on...ran into some bizarre people. Not sure why there aren't more choices for hotels. We had a real doozy...glad we didn't have to stay a second night.Guest review byKerryCanada - 10.0
Plan your trip ahead.
Plan your trip ahead. If you're bringing your pet, check if the trails allow them. Some don't... The distance between the sites in the National park are far, make sure you have gas and plan which ones you'd like to hike. The best way to see the lakeshore is by water, it's a good experience overall but the lake can be rough so cancellations are frequent. If you like fish, this town is for you. Prices of food are cheap or reasonable.Guest review byCorazonUnited States - 10.0
This was the perfect place to stay. Room was clean.
This was the perfect place to stay. Room was clean. Plenty of towels. Beds a bedding very cozy a comfortable. TV was large a many channels to choose from. More than one entrance to get to our room. Due to this was able to park real close to our room. Wetmore is maybe 1 mile from Munising, where all the action is. Boat tours of the Pictured Rocks that we took an highly recommend. There is a glass bottom boat tour of the shipwrecks in Lake Superior. We had very good meals at eh Burger as well as at DogPatch. Eh Burger was locally Veteran owned. Many different burger choices which also included Bison. Which is what we got. Very good burger. I recommend that if you get any of the French fry choices get only one basket if there are two of you. Dog Patch served local caught white fish, that I recommend .We had the cheese curds which was not covered in breading, yummy. Wonderful sit down restaurant. Service was fast. Falling Rock Cafe a Bookstore was a lovely little place. Not only can you get a great coffee a browse many used books they have a small area for children to play. Gift shops were available also to browse. This is all we did during our short less than one day trip to Munising. Highly recommend visiting this town on the Lake Superior shores.Guest review byCindyUnited States - 10.0

No matter what season you visit Two Harbors and the surrounding North Shores communities, you will find something to see, do, try. There are notable stops along the north shores between Duluth and Grand Marais that we visited during our July 2025 visit. You can visit local shops, hike trails, see rushing waterfalls, stop for a coffee, enjoy the sounds of nature, listen to the lapping of the lakefront waves, and so much more.Guest review byJeannetteUnited States - 8.0
Very beautiful area. Also just a short trip to MI and MN.
Very beautiful area. Also just a short trip to MI and MN. We did Yooper rock hunting a couple nights at Black River Harbour & Little Girl Point, which was very fun. Lots and lots of waterfall hikes within 50 miles of Ashland. Even though it was rainy when we went, we had a great time. Would definitely recommend taking a Ferry to Madeline island. I would take a vehicle over, its quite a distance to walk or bike around the island. Definitely check out Big Bay Lagoon on Madeline island. Beautiful hike on a board walk around Lake Superior. So pretty!! Would have definitely toured the islands, but it was too cold and rainy the week we were there.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Superior is quite a nice city.
Superior is quite a nice city. The areas we saw were clean and tidy. It provided us with all the amenities we were looking for. Julie's Family Restaurant was a particularly good place to eat. We were very pleased with the Richard I Bong veteran's museum and the young lady (a junior in high school) who provided the "Heavy Metal" tour. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. There is much to see and do around the area, including Bayfield, the Apostle Islands and Ashland, all within about an hour's drive from Superior.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0
A cute little community on the N Shore.
A cute little community on the N Shore. A couple of restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and a winery are available in the area. The main attractions are the ski hill, the shoreline, and the hiking trails in the area.Guest review byAmyUnited States
