While the staff at the hotel was friendly, the overall experience was disappointing. The room had cleanliness and odor issues, poor lighting, and lacked basic amenities like towels, which had to be requested. There was also no clear communication about breakfast options. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would return to a hotel like this, especially for the price I paid, there are many other options nearby with equal or better rates and much better standards. The room was clean and spaceous, but you had to pay extra for a microwave. The cleanning staff was very inconsiderate! They completely ignore 'Do not disturb' signs and the maid kept changing the temperature of my thermostat so that I froze every time I walked back into the room at night. The first day I checked in, I notified the Front Desk that the lock on my patio door did not work correctly. I could not open the door with my key from the outside. Thee property was clean and well-appointed but we never could get the hot water to work in the shower and calling the representative did not attempt to solve this problem. The TV's did not have any directions and we could not get them to work, I think they use Alexa and we did not know how to access. We admit we probably did not know how to activate but there were no directions provided. Sunny Isles Beach is a place you go to if you want to relax.
Sunny Isles Beach is a place you go to if you want to relax. It's very clean and the beaches are beautiful. We were across the street from the Porsche building, the Bentley building, the Armani Building, and many other luxurious high-rise buildings. But there is absolutely nothing around. The nearest grocery store is 4 miles away. Our apartment, on the other hand, was atrocious and the staff even worse. You know that expression, You get what you pay for. Well, here at Ocean Reserve you don't. You pay lots of money for an obsolete building where they don't even recycle. Lots of senseless rules and cameras everywhere.
