This place is an absolute gem. The rooms are spacious with a very comfortable bed, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. We were impressed by the wide range of outdoor activities and games available — there’s truly something for everyone. Stargazing here was absolutely magical, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were also pleasantly surprised by the little on-site shop, open daily and well-stocked with eggs, bread, veggies, fruit, yogurt, cheese, and more. A perfect getaway to pause and unwind away from the noise of everyday life.

At the reception they helped me to call a taxi that came to pick me up late. Because of this the front desk had offered to call an Uber and pay the fare. all really nice, I hope to be able to return.     Yes, it's indeed loud until about 2 in the morning, but if you're not in the room, it won't bother you. The location is amazing, right in the middle of Fremont Street; it's a historic hotel in the city. The rooms are somewhat outdated in terms of equipment, but I confidently recommend it for its value. The elevator is fast, and the breakfast is delicious, which is a plus.

    Las Vegas is somewhere we'd always wanted to go and it didn't disappoint. There was plenty to do, even if you're not gamblers like us. It was bustling all day and night long. The food we ate was amazing and there were so many options. If we went again we'd do a trip to the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam.

    Downtown Reno feels abandoned and dilapidated, with. many of the buildings along Virginia Street shuttered. The murals are great, but overall the streets are not welcoming. The park along the Truckee River was a nice start, but it needs more. Midtown Reno seemed nicer - but "nice" in the way of a suburban town, rather than a vacation destination. The best part of our stay was when we accidentally stumbled across a dress rehearsal of the Nevada Dance Company in front of the Pioneer Center. We sat and watched a terrific dance performance for free in the plaza area.

    We were there for a kid's birthday party and spent a whole day on jet skis they had plenty of cover with table at edge of river, clean bathrooms and a spot to rinse off, after that it was going to casinos losing our money the odd of winning is not good food and drinks was good.

    I like Elko and the rural feel. It's a real working town, from the employment in mines. People are friendly and no traffic issues. Beautiful museum and park there, lots of restaurants and thrift stores!

    This is a ghost town, there no people. the restaurants are empty and not very good. We only found a Thai restaurant The Basil it was very good and Vino's Pizza also very good. There is a nice hiking trail but that't about it. We had a great time because we went with friends but it is very sad to see Cities like this one.

    Pahrump is a bit of a drive from Las Vegas but it is worth the drive if you want to leave the glitz behind. We were in the area for the Ron Fellows Driving School but we did try to explore the area while we were there. One big negative for us was that only 1 casino offers table games and those are limited.

    Stateline is undergoing a huge transformation.

    Stateline is undergoing a huge transformation. Harveys is being re-branded with a ton of construction. Inside was seriously a shell of itself. Golden Nugget is also under construction and remodel. The whole area just felt run down. Not the Stateline we remembered from years past. I am sure it will improve once construction ends, but at this time it is a work in progress.

    We came for the Star Train and were not disappointed by the trip. Definitely check out the Nevada Northern Railway when in Ely. They offer a number of different train rides, and the self-guided walking tour is also worthwhile. The Star Train is especially lovely, taking passengers out to the desert at night to a star viewing area, with telescopes and accompanied by professional astronomers. Beautiful.
