- From £118.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,165 reviewsThe room is quite large and spacious with a nice large HD TV. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are equipped with a fridge and microwave. The property was very quiet and I was able to get rest when needed between working. Our family loved Nags Head and wish we could have spent more...
Our family loved Nags Head and wish we could have spent more time there. Unfortunately, as soon as we got there, there was news that Hurricane Erin was coming. It caused huge rip tides, so that meant any ocean activities were a no-go. We ended up leaving a bit early just to be safe. However, just from driving around, there was definitely lots to explore and do. I hope next year my family can make the same trip and enjoy the fullness of the Outer Banks!Guest review byMikeUnited States - 10.0
I love Buxton... Just a minutes walk to get to the beach.
I love Buxton... Just a minutes walk to get to the beach. Plenty of restaurants in the area. You can get a good meal at Angelos Pizza, where they serve Italian dishes, subs, hamburgers and many flavors of hand-dipped ice cream. They have an assortment of arcade games, which were fun to play. My husband's favorite was The Cockeyed Clam, were the fried clams and shrimp were excellent. The local bar and Grill (POPS), is my most favorite, serving fried seafood, other items, at a very reasonable price. Conners Grocery store has just about anything you need and more. Delii meats/cheeses and sides are always fresh and they have unique items you can't find at Food Lion. Best place for Fresh Raw Seafood is Buxton Seafood with great customer service is about 1.5 miles from the Hatteras Island Inn. The Hatteras Island Inn is where you find caring staff, the most comfy beds and all the beach you need for a very reasonable price. All of these excellent qualities of Buxton is why we like to spend many mini vacations and long vacations on Hatteras Island throughout the year.Guest review bydeborahUnited States - 8.0
It wasn't noisy like most hotels.
It wasn't noisy like most hotels. The room was fairly cleaned. The mattress was pretty broke down. There was a kiosk with a person to check in and no one reachable for the towels and wash cloths that should have already been in the room until the next morning. With all that said I have to say it was still a good value.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Avon is a fun, family friendly town. There is something for everyone there. Although I am old, I really got a kick out of the ice cream truck that came by the house with music, and even bubbles. The ice cream was delicious too.Guest review byCarollUnited States - 4.0

We love the less crowded scene at Hatteras.
We love the less crowded scene at Hatteras. If you like kicking back and enjoying the ocean, sunrises and sunsets, fishing and just chilling out this is for you. If you want tons of stuff to do, lots of bars, loud beach scene, fast food chains and hundreds of restaurants, etc. etc. Go somewhere elseGuest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0

Rodanthe is quiet, relaxing beach community with very little tourism. Just a few local shops and a convenience stores. Best place to shop is Waves Market. Lots of great food and options to fill the fridge and cupboards. Great beach to walk in the morning and watch the sunrise. Dogs can run freely and enjoy the water.Guest review byScottUnited States - 10.0

Frisco is a quiet village on the southern part of Hattaras island (NC outer banks). There are a lot of great places to eat close by plus to grocery stores which has everything you would need. It is close to the light-house and the ferry to Ocracoke. If you want a quiet family friendly get away to unwind and relax. Then this is the place for you.Guest review byRussellUnited States - 10.0

Nags Head is the beach of my youth, since I was 8 or 9 years old. They don't allow buildings above four stories, which is nice. Usually there is good surf and fishing. Decent restaurants and shops. Cape Hatteras National Seashore is to the south, and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, Some of the restaurants are exceptional, most are acceptable. Manteo is just over the causeway, and the little fishing village of Wanchese. Eat at Kill Devil Grill or I Got Your Crabs. Breakfast at Miller's. Tortuga's Lie also good.Guest review byFrank Carpin JrUnited States
