We love the beaches and the relaxed atmosphere!
We love the beaches and the relaxed atmosphere! We ate at Wickes Lighthouse restaurant ( very good) We enjoyed dinner and music at RJ Otters on Captiva. We shopped at Jerry's We spent time on the beach and swimming. (Only there for one night)Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10.0
Captiva is a charming town that is very walkable.
Captiva is a charming town that is very walkable. The beach is also beautiful. There a a few restaurants but little shopping so come prepared to do outdoor activities or read by the pool. It is not a location for nightlife.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0
The beach was so wonderful!! I loved the shells!
The beach was so wonderful!! I loved the shells! I want to go back again with the proper shell finding strainer and containers for found shells to take home. Beach was so peaceful. There is a shell washing station as you exit the beach.Guest review byJeanUnited States - 8.0

Captiva is beautiful and so is the South Seas resort- but this condo although part of S. Seas- it is not treated as the other properties are at the resort. I think South Seas wishes they didn't have to deal with it- as I kept hearing-' That condo has nothing to do with us' They treated it as the black sheep/ red headed step child of the family- loud maintenance work each day/ repaving of the lot/ and the pool area was neglected (clean enough but so scarce and plain- can we get a landscaper or some decorator in to give it some LIFE) Thank goodness the folks at Rosen properties are cognizant and polite- to apologize for the issues- hopefully they can make this place more desirable!Guest review byElizabethAnnKUnited States - 8.0

The shelling was good on Sanibel, but better on a public beach near the tip of Captiva. I got better shells that were actually "whole". See pics below. We ate at Doc Ford's Restaurant & the food was excellent. Another night, we ate at Cajun Mudbugs. The food was so-so, seafood was overcooked & dry. Frankly, I'm a better Cajun cook. They had live entertainment. We were expecting Acadian/ Cajun music, but instead they had a single musician, who played popular & oldie music. He was a good guitarist, but his singing was off key & extremely loud. You couldn't hear yourself think, let alone have a nice conversation at the table. It was an expensive ruined evening.Guest review byJackUnited States - 4.0
The beach was lovely.
The beach was lovely. The grounds were pretty, but the accommodations were dirty. We were hit with suprise extra fees upon arrival. They don't take cash. The staff was friendly, but we could not get help when we needed it.Guest review byEileenUnited States
