We loved the "Old West" vibe in the hotel. Due to the proximity of Big Bend National Park and State Park, the hotel was incredibly silent at night and offered excellent night skies, which resulted in excellent sleep. Very sad now. Not what it used to be. Mayer took away gandala boats. Zero musicians. Just a bad tourist trap now. High prices, no authenticity! Sad. Worth going to the missions outer parts of city. A beautiful new hotel who external pictures don’t do it justice. Rooms are big and comfortable with super comfortable beds and pillows.
