- From £287.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 70 reviewsThe staff member John was very helpful. He introduced the property and some nice restaurants in Paia to us. When I needed some ice to treat my injury because I accidentally hit the trunk lid, he helped us right away. We really appreciate his kind assistance. The breakfast was also pretty good!Guest review byAngieLinTaiwan
- From £185.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 315 reviewsThe place closer to paradise I ever been! Owners are so kind and welcoming, place is so nice, kitchen with everything for cooking, external jacuzzi. Even if toilet and showers are shared there are so many available that you never have to wait. I really suggest this place!Guest review byMatteoItaly

Beautiful beach town that provides a very pleasant even if touristy insight to Maui living though not truly local. The dining options are great as well as shops but it's more-so made up of Californians selling art than it is of Maui born & bred locals. Neither a positive nor a negative, Paia is a perfect beach town to switch off in but if you're looking for a true Maui experience it may not be the most adventurous though it is beautiful, friendly, vibrant and can be incredible for beach wildlife spotting.Guest review byDanielUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Haiku was quiet, peaceful, much more local feel; The total opposite feel of Kaanapali, which is much busier and more touristy. [We stayed in both areas during our trip.] Near Haiku there are local thrift shops, weekly markets (Swap Meet), and you are surrounded by nature. The weather was fine too. Not too rainy (as was forewarned on multiple sites).Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

Makawao has its own tequila distillery, some great shops and restaurants, and from locals all over the island, its own great yoga studio (although I didn’t try it myself). There is also a wonderful county park property, with great running, hiking, and mountain biking trails. I could spend a long time in this part of the island. Highly recommend!Guest review byAshleyUnited States - 6.0
Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants.
Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants. Shops all close at 6 pm. More breakfast places would be nice. Parking can be challenging. I did enjoy the town but I probably will not return to Paia. It was more crowded than expected.Guest review byRosemaryUnited States - 10.0
Beautiful town. Very peaceful and tranquil.
Beautiful town. Very peaceful and tranquil. Not a big town or city with a lot of action but perfect for passing through and seeing the residential side. There is a strip of shops, restaurants, and cafes that are good stops. We ate at a very good breakfast cafe in the area with outdoor seating.Guest review byMaliaUnited States
