- From £93.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 175 reviewsThe location was great! What I liked was the newly renovated room. Most importantly, we felt that the room was clean. There was a big screen TV with Roku and many free channels with movies. There was a small fridge in the room. There was no hair dryer. We asked for one with the reception and received one in just 10 min. I booked a super low rate and worried that the hotel won't honor it. My fear was unfounded, as the hotel manager Yuri reached out to me and said that my rate was a mistake but they would still honor it. A shout-out to the hotel for standing up for its reputation and honoring a price mistake.Guest review byWaiUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 188 reviewsMy wife and I went to the Whiteface Lodge for our mini-moon, right after our wedding in November. Our stay was incredible - the room size was massive, and the bed and living area were very comfortable and well appointed. The guest facilities were amazing (including a small gym and game room, hot-tub and indoor pool), and the food at the restaurants was delicious. We really enjoyed the included breakfast every morning, and the complimentary cookies! We went during the off season so it was extremely quiet and peaceful during our trip, which we really appreciated and needed. Will be going back again!Guest review byAndrew BulsonUnited States
- From £132.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 323 reviewsWe did not want to leave! Staff were flexible with check-ins. Room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and effective air-con. All amenities you need including coffee machine and fridge. Bathroom was spacious, clean with great water pressure and no temperature issues. Big window at the back of the room with a view of trees and the river. Located next to a beautiful waterfall and river where you can take a dip. Restaurant attached to the cabin was delicious - would recommend the trout!Guest review byVictoriaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 229 reviewsWhen we checked in, the clerk Kayla gave us a tour and and told us about different things going on in Lake Placid. She is a real gem. When she realized it was our first visit, she gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy. We also liked the nightly fire pits and got to meet alot of people from all over.Guest review byJaneUnited States

The individual quaint cottages, very quiet could not hear any sound from the outside except the rain falling on the roof which was fine.Guest review byComrieCanada

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 28 reviewsOn top of the solid 'standard' breakfast, Wayne made a hot daily special. The daily special was every time a treat. The blueberry pancakes were accompanied not by 'a syrup' but the real stuff 100% Maple.Guest review byPeterUnited States

We stayed in Saranac Lake to be close to Lake Placid and High Peaks hiking as well as to be centrally located for the Adirondack bike trail. We did rent bikes in town and ride on the trail, which is beautiful and wasn’t overly crowded.Guest review byCherylUnited States - 10.0
Beautiful Ausable River runs in the heart of the village.
Beautiful Ausable River runs in the heart of the village. Water is clean enough to take a dip and there is a waterfall which makes for a great hang-out spot. Restaurants abound for breakfast and dinner, would recommend the Hungry Trout resort restaurant for a delicious dinner with river views and great service. Activities include riverside hikes and swims in the summer, and skiing in the winter. We will be back.Guest review byVictoriaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great place for long hikes and challenging exercise.
Great place for long hikes and challenging exercise. Although not super high compared to French Alps, the mountains are pretty challenging. The region is really relaxing and a great place to rest from busy city life. Highly recommend to go on top of Big Slide which has magnificient views. If you are hiking in colder season, make sure to rent or buy a good pair of microspikes as they are absolutely necessary to hike on top of mountains. The high peaks information center was really friendly and gave very good information about conditions and required equipment. Make sure to visit them or call them before a hike.Guest review byThomasUnited States - 6.0

Its a small town with one of everything - gas station, restaurant, grocery store, bar etc. Everything is pricey with limited choices. There is nothing one can do here. Its just a place to stay. Some landmarks are close by. That's the best part.Guest review byRaja ShekharUnited States - 10.0

This town is unique in the travelers and hikers you meet from all over the world. There’s hikes for every level, as well as endless outdoor activities. Having no cell service can be a pain, but it’s also a nice way to disconnect. I hear it’s getting more crowded, but there’s lots of outdoor activities to do on dates that are less popular. Lots of good restaurants too.Guest review byHaleyUnited States - 10.0

Lake Placid is a beautiful place to visit. There is something for everyone to do. A lot of families. The restaurants are wonderful and all staff is so friendly. I would highly recommend visiting Lale Placid.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0
This is our second trip to Saranac in a month.
This is our second trip to Saranac in a month. Went out for the ice castle earlier in the month and back more recently for college tour in a nearby town. Blue Moon Café is fabulous and the nearby brew pubs a great way to end the day. Enjoyed stopping into a few of the shops on historic Main Street, Adirondack Hamlets to Huts https://adkh2h.org/shop/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=local&utm_content=website-button and the music store Ampersound. Appreciated the free public parking right on Main Street as well!Guest review byThomasUnited States - 10.0

Wilmington is a great area with great hospitality and scenery...The Hungry Trout is a great restaurant to eat at and love the A&W restaurant and The Adirondacks Chocolates shop...The North Pole is a plus for families and the Scenic Whiteface Mt and highway offers nature's best views...The Little Supermarket has Everything you could ask for regarding food, sandwiches, ice cream and friendliness..All in all, Wilmington is just the best🗻Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
I was just passing thru on my way back from Quebec.
I was just passing thru on my way back from Quebec. But the town is very nice. They've hosted two Olympics here and it's probably a lot more popular in the winter (I was there in early October). A decent selection of restaurants, but they're not all open 7 days/week in the off season so check ahead. A good ski town.Guest review byEricUnited States
