- From £306.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 602 reviewsThe peaceful location, the breathtaking view from the room (over the Zuurberg Mountains) and the friendly, personalised service. Camp Figtree is situated at 2km from the road, due to which you can enjoy total silence. The only sounds that you hear come from nature: birds, wildlife, … We were warmly welcomed by the General Manager, who received us with homemade Icetea. He showed us around the premises and brought us to the room. Camp Figtree also has a good restaurant with a terrace overviewing the mountains. The restaurant is very cosy. We sat next to an open fire and enjoyed our candlelight dinner. The food was very fresh and it tasted delicious! This morning, we also had a friendly encounter with the Lodge Manager. It was not a problem at all to stay a bit longer. He said we could even stay for lunch if we wanted. I will defintely stay here again on my next visit to South Africa!Guest review byBruyninckxBelgium
- From £1,317.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 163 reviewsWhen I looked where to stay at Addo I wanted a place that maximized the wildlife without me having to drive anywhere and Gorah did exactly that. We sat at the hotel all day and we experienced the most amazing wildlife at the waterhole. And at the same time Gorah staff exemplary in their service and kindness. The food superb right down to my wife’s diabetic requirements at all times and we were made to feel that nothing was too much.Guest review byBobbySouth Africa
- From £62.75 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 678 reviewsWe booked a Bush cabin and we would Do that anytime again. It was such a nice experience and for a change something completely different and special. We enjoyed it a lot to use the outdoor kitchen, having a fire at night and relaxing on the small terrace in the middle of the nature. Also showering outdoors felt very relieving. Everything was clean, tidy and cozy. The staff was also very friendly.Guest review byJoshua StösserGermany
- From £931.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsThe whole experience exceeded our expectations. The food is superb and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. They went through the trouble of making a separate meal for my partner to accommodate his food allergies. They also went to the trouble of setting up a screen and provided us with snacks to watch the rugby. We also got to see 4 of the Big 5 in one evening!Guest review bySunéSouth Africa
- From £183.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 294 reviewsAbsolute stunning, what a find. It feels like you a nestled in the mountains, the rooms are in the canopy of the trees with beautiful big outside baths. In addition you can walk with Elephants at the lodge which was one of the best experiences of my and my kids lives. Truly magnificent beasts. I would highly recommend staying at the lodge.Guest review bySalt Rock ConsultingSouth Africa

The staff is extremely kind (especially Frederic, that cheered our dinner playing the piano!), and the room really big and cleaned. I had one of my best breakfast in my South Africa trip! Even the safaris were perfect. Thank you!Guest review byCARMENItaly

Rusty and Pedro their dogs are great company. Had some nice chats in the evening sat around the fire. Plans are in place to make the park on which they are based a big five one. Our safari tent was comfortable enough for us.Guest review byPaulPortugal

We have been to Addo probably 40 times and just never get enough of it, and once again on rare occassions, saw a lioness up close. As always there were plenty of Buffalo, Elephant, Zebra, Red Hardebeest, Warthog, Kudu, and oh! a Hyena!Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

My stay at Adventure Apartment, Colchester was truly wonderful. The space was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and offered a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. Every detail from the serene surroundings to the warm and welcoming ambiance, was thoughtfully arranged. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and a touch of elegance. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting againGuest review byMemory ZodwaSouth Africa - 8.0
We liked the venue. The environment is beautiful.
We liked the venue. The environment is beautiful. The road was a challenge, but we knew that we had to come with a 4x4 vehicle and the men knew how to drive on a 4x4 route. It was raining when we arrived and it was cold, but everybody should know not to travel without a jacket.Guest review byRiaanNamibia - 10.0

We did an afternoon Giraffe walk through Bellevue Lodge and it was amazing - we were taken on a safari vehicle onto a game reserve and from there had to find the grazing giraffe. Once we spotted them, we drove close by and then got out of the vehicle to walk close (but not too close) to the giraffe to watch them eat their dinner. It was a lovely experience, and our guide Stephen was knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions. We stayed at the Bellevue Lodge for 1 night, it was a lovely small property with friendly staff.Guest review bySusanSwitzerland - 10.0
The accommodation was lovely and very kids friendly.
The accommodation was lovely and very kids friendly. We had an amazing time, very relaxing, kids loved the pool and all the lego. Game drive was an absolute favorite with drinks at a lovely view point. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone to relax and rewind!Guest review byNienkeSouth Africa - 8.0
Addo was lovely, and the map was easy to navigate.
Addo was lovely, and the map was easy to navigate. I could easily do two days in the Addo and it's full of surprises. Make sure to go to the bathroom at the beginning, because toiletbreaks are far inbetween. Make sure your devices are fully charged and you have backup, because you'll be taking a lot of pics. Currently the roadworks to Addo makes it a longer drive, but all goo.Guest review byLydiaSouth Africa - 10.0

We stayed at Dungbeetle River Lodge for 2 nights while visiting Addo. We arrived in the late afternoon and then took a full day game drive from the lodge. It was a bit much for us and would do a morning game drive next time. The experience was awesome, it was just too long for our pensioner bodies! Staying 2 nights was perfect because the evening gave us a nice recovery period before we hit the road for our return to Cape Town. Dungbeetle River Lodge was a perfect location from which to travel into Addo. It's literally 3 minutes from the south gate of the park.Guest review byCharlesSouth Africa - 10.0
Everything was quite on point.
Everything was quite on point. From the receptionist service to the restaurant food and the tour around the park and service from the tour guide. Enjoyable, you will enjoy this if you love nature but probably go for the morning tour, there may be lions then.Guest review byDingiswayo - 4.0

Not a quaint little tourist town, and somewhat disappointed with our stay (for choice of shops, restaurants and ease of access to the river, lack of info for St Croix marine reserve). The Sand dunes are spectacular, but also not easy to access as on private property. The day visit permit is affordable (via Pearson resort) yet this information is not easily available to visitors. Close proximity to Addo South Gate which is great. Some marketing PR would go a long way!Guest review byCherylSouth Africa
