Langebaan is a quaint seaside "village" with lots to offer in terms of restaurants/pubs and beaches. If you're into gambling, the Mykonos Casino is close by. We enjoyed a karaoke evening at one of the local pubs, De Watergat. The staff were not so friendly, but despite this we managed to have a good time! All amenities are close by for a cost effective self-catering holiday.Guest review byVanessaSouth Africa - 6.0

C’est La Vie is undeniably a beautiful property, with stunning, unobstructed views of the sea and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The quiet surroundings were a real highlight—perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. We did play some music one afternoon, well before the 9pm cutoff, but unfortunately received complaints and were informed of a strict no-noise policy. It would be helpful if this was clearly communicated in advance, as it did catch us off guard. The living room fireplace was a lovely touch and added a cozy charm to the space. However, the rest of the house lacked heating, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable, especially during cooler nights. Additionally, the property ran out of toilet paper during our stay, which was unexpected and inconvenient. Considering the premium cost of the rental, I believe management should address these issues to better align the experience with the price point. That said, the staff during booking and check-in were exceptionally helpful and courteous, which we really appreciated. Overall, C’est La Vie has great potential, but a few improvements would make it truly exceptional.Guest review byCalvinUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Brilliant sea-view; literally just a street width from beach. Not for swimming though; swimming beach ca 1km away. But one does not come for swimming! When the wind comes from the north, the smell of sea-birds somewhat overwhelming. But that's part of the deal. Isabella's and Roestyd both good restaurants; value for money; great sea-food.Guest review byAndreasSouth Africa - 10.0

St Helena Bay is a very interesting village.
St Helena Bay is a very interesting village. It is conveniently situated on the West Coast within in reach of many small, interesting villages and towns. It faces north over the sea, which makes it ideal. Its close proximity to Cape Town is definitely a bonus.Guest review byJacquesPortugal - 10.0
Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby.
Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby. There is a fantastic SuperSpar nearby which is very well stocked. We found an incredible restaurant right on the beachfront called Zeezicht. The food was exceptional and the staff friendly and attentive. I believe the owner is the chef as well. Went back three times. There is also a delightful ice cream shop at the harbour, Lighthouse Deli - well worth a visit. The ice-creams were thick and creamy and very reasonably priced.Guest review byBelindaSouth Africa - 8.0

Saldanha is a quiet fishing and mining town with lots of interesting places to see. The local fish monger has the best fish and chips. The Weskus Mall is close by with good shops to visit. We visited the fossil museum close by which has very interesting exhibits.Guest review byJeffrey KnickelbeinUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The Klawer hotel is something to visit.
The Klawer hotel is something to visit. We had a very interesting meal there. The place itself is not spectacular, but for atmosphere you must visit this Margo's restaurant, if only to see the "Halucinogenic fish" - at least that is what the waitress called the inhabitants of the fishtank that was sitting opposite our table.Guest review byvivSouth Africa - 8.0
Beautiful little village feel.
Beautiful little village feel. Lovely for a weekend break and the location is picturesque. Big tip: book online at the restaurants before you come. Most places only accept online bookings and they get full really quickly!!Guest review byBevsbSouth Africa - 10.0
The house is stunning and well laid out.
The house is stunning and well laid out. Braai room is wonderful for family games or just sitting around chatting. Beautiful views of the sea and the green belt allows for wonderful walks. Lena who opened for us was great and available for any questions we had. We will be back and highly recommend this home that has that feels like home away from home.Guest review byPrudenceSouth Africa
