We loved the farm and its location. It was exactly what I was looking for. Peace. We loved the experience of being on a working farm. We loved the citrus trees amongst the fynbos and obviously the waterfall. There are lots of birds on the property.
We would recommend this farm for people who would like to get away from the city's bustle.
I recommend a few nights at least. Please plan you stay with the weather in mind.
The resort has an excellent restaurant with a big selection of traditional food. Breakfast in the morning was also imazing.
We liked a swimming pool which we had with easy access from the rooms.
Whole stay was really excellent for all of us.
Very clean apartment and big, clean comfortable bed. Shower was perfect. Quiet area and other guests did not bother us. Milk in the fridge was a nice surprise. Loadshedding lamps were adequate.

Besides going to view the flowers (which was the main reason for going) and visiting the Gaol House/ Museum, with a super enthusiastic guide, there was not much else to see or do. There were no quaint shops to visit and everything was closed on the Sunday. The only restaurant choice was the Hotel.

The healing waters of the spring.
The healing waters of the spring. The rock pools are so great, relaxing ... your body and spirit are renewed after relaxing in the pool or rock pools. The absolute quietness are wonderful. Each property or house is designed so that you feel you are the only people around. Love the privacy and connecting with nature. After 43 years of visiting the property love all the upgrades and that it still keep the historic buildings in such a good condition.

Absolutely stunning views.
Absolutely stunning views. Definitely recommend high clearance vehicle. Lots of gravel roads, some are not great. When it rains, the roads are dangerous. Lots of driving through very deep puddles and some bridges washed away. But A+ for adventure.

I will never return as everything from the Maintenace round the pool, inside the chalet and outside was not done. Area in the reception was disgusting and open wires under the jacuzzi and outside the chalet after what seems to be a geyser that was replaced.
No Wifi for 24 hours on arrival, no water for 3 hours, jacuzzi not working and tripping all the time, grass in the main pool area left very long during peak season
TRULY A POOR EXPERIENCE AND I WIL NEVER GO BACK

The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient.
The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient.
Our Eco-Cottage was beautifully positioned to maximise on the stunning mountain scenery and sunsets while being completely private.
We booked supper and breakfast in the restaurant.
The 3 course meal was superb; I would highly recommend the Lamb shank...
The weather was sublime and we could dine out on the deck, still appreciating the surrounding beauty of nature.
We would highly recommend this venue and its facilities and will definitely be returning again.

A part of the Cape that is rich in colour, all year round.
A part of the Cape that is rich in colour, all year round. Vast expanses of green farmlands in Winter and Gold in Summer after the harvests. The temperatures are very hot in Summer but for the rest of the year it's very pleasant. The drive to Clanwilliam through the spectacular deep orange coloured Cedarberg Mountain and the scenic stop at Clanwilliam Dam is worth seeing. Great place to visit during the Namaqualand daisy season - mid-August to mid-September.

We absolutely loved our 1 night stay at this lovely little cottage set amongst beautiful surroundings. The added bonus was the hot tub and also having a tv. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and when we needed assistance in resetting our hot water cylinder which had tripped when there was loadshedding, someone arrived immediately to attend to it. Be sure to order your wood when you arrive. This was also delivered to us promptly. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lighting next to the bed was excellent for reading at night. It was good value for money and will definitely be going back.
