- From £204.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 662 reviewsThe apartment was perfect --stylish, spacious, clean, and cozy. It was perfect for our family of 5 (we took a two-bedroom). The kitchen was large and well fitted, the living room was very nice, the balcony was massive with a seating area, and the bedrooms/bathrooms were comfy and clean. We loved that the floor was heated (such a nice touch). We also loved the area it was at, and the grounds were secure and well-manicured (which is expected in a golf resort). Driving in and out of the resort was really nice as it's on a mountain with superb views. The check-in was smooth. We arrived late and hungry, so the lovely front desk staff suggested we order room service from the restaurant. It was delivered quickly and was very delicious. Our apartment was not too far from the main club house for breakfast; as the weather was crisp and cool, it was perfect for a morning walk. The staff at the restaurant were delightful and accommodating...the breakfast buffet was the best we've had whilst in South Africa. Their hot chocolate was a hit with the kids. We weren't able to golf, sadly, as we were on a schedule, but it would be great to bring our clubs next time. The golf course looked fantastic! I used the laundry service, and our items were finished and delivered to our room the next day. They were not ironed, so make sure you specify that option if you need to. The laundry service was reasonably priced (they charge per kilo). What we liked about staying in Knysna is that it was quite central to areas we wanted to visit, like Tsitsikamma Natl Park, and Cango Caves. We enjoyed having dinner some evenings at the Knysna Waterfront (only a 10 min drive). I would definitely stay here again when in Knysna! 3 days was not enough!Guest review byGiulianaUnited Arab Emirates
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 7 reviewsWhat an excellent idea to book this magical place for one night. Chris the owner, was in Heidelberg by chance, met us and drove ahed of us to the villa. He gave us a great tour around the large property, which was a good idea, because the weather turned for the worse and we wouldn't have seen these beautiful vistas on the day of departure. Chris told us that he and his neighbour take good care of these large parcels of land, which mostly remain off bounds to tourists, are kept in their natural state and all non-indigenous trees are being removed. Our grandkids loved the villa's music-room and the biljart table. We all enjoyed being in this quiet, peaceful property that was filled with the owner's pieces of art, gathered from all or the world. We really felt that we were staying in someone's private home instead of in a holiday rental. Of course, as always, the big mistake was ,only book it for one night...Guest review byyokatCanada

A really beautiful experience for anyone who loves climbing trees! Staff was so friendly for our welcoming. These units seem to be built for summer, they did their best to help with visitors in winter like us and provided everything they could, and we battled with the cold. No regrets and we still loved it!Guest review byDianaUnited Arab Emirates
- From £220.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 406 reviewsA real 5 star experience. We are not golfers but enjoyed a restful weekend here as part of a 3 week trip in South Africa. You are greeted on the door by very friendly staff and offered a drink. Our suite was exceptional as was the food and the lovely walks around the grounds. Treat yourself and stay at Fancourt to break up your journey on the garden route.Guest review bySimonH65United Kingdom

The game drives were outstanding. My family and myself enjoyed it very much. The light was magical and the animals relaxed and we managed to see quite allot of them. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
It was breathtakingly beautiful. Great restaurants & we loved being so close to the water & all the activities. We loved the featherbed boat trip We ate at Drydock & 34 degrees within walking distance from our accommodation. We went walking in the forest about 6 kms away. Knysna has everything. Spectacular views, beautiful beaches. Great restaurants and lovely forest trails.Guest review byPamSouth Africa - 8.0

It was easy to navigate and there’s a lot to sea and places to visit but we didn’t have time as we were there for 4 days. If one plans to stay longer they will find exciting things to do and for families with kids too. The shopping malls are easy to access .Guest review byNombuleloIreland - 10.0

We all loved George. It is so close to so many attractions and beautiful areas. It is a good base to be at to do day trips. George is so clean, and no potholes. We wished that we had more time to look around. We had a fantastic meal at Cula restaurant.Guest review byRoslynAustralia - 10.0

A small village on the east coast between George and Knysna. People are friendly and services adequate for basic needs. Plenty of restaurants catering for a variety of cuisines some of them highly recommended. Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food...
Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food take aways . Very rural . You can buy the basics at one of the cafes or Pizza place . There is not much as far as shops go so it is a stopover to break a long journey or a week or two of total peace and quite without too many modern day interruptions. There is a braai area and all you could want to have to have an enjoyable stop and a good night's sleep and no rush to get you out in the morning .. I simply bought rolls and cold meat and yogurt at Piet se kafee as I did not want to cook . Coffee is provided although if to a heavy coffee drinker you may want to buy a bit extra as most guest houses only give you enough for two or three cups of coffee . I had a nice chat with the owner who told me about the abundance of underground water and about the area in general...This is not a property where you can come in and drink and party and be a nuisance to others . . No smoking inside the chalets which is excellent @Guest review byMike du PlessisSouth Africa - 10.0
