The establishment is very serene, well looked after and it has all the amenities not to mention an exceptional view of the ocean. Most importantly, it’s managed and owned by the warmest hosts and it offers the most wholesome breakfast! We will definitely be going back!Guest review bySalmanSouth Africa - 10.0

Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. It was an epic adventure.Guest review byDacusUnited States - 10.0
Easy to access any beach.
Easy to access any beach. We enjoyed Buitesteen Restaurant and Marietjies Pub in Baardskeerdersbos. It is a must for every visitor. We enjoyed walking from Franskraal to Uilenkraalmond. It feels very safe to be in De Kelders.Guest review byTILANA RETIEFSouth Africa - 10.0

Hermanus is a pretty town with some lovely shops, art galleries and restaurants. I really enjoyed the coastal path to walk along to enjoy views of the sea, and hopefully spot some whales. We went on a great boat ride to see the whales a bit closer.Guest review byClaire EllisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Fantastic view, comfortable & clean. Friendly and helpful hosts, Lesley & Tim. Great to walk on walkway along coast and other paths down to the rocks. Had some good meals at JT's kitchen in Gans bay and The Great white House in Klein bay. Able to chill and relax.Guest review byCharmaineSouth Africa - 10.0

So many amenities within a short distance from the accommodation and we were lucky to see whales on each of the four days that we were there. The town and area was very clean and easy to get around. We hope to visit there again soon.Guest review byKentSouth Africa - 8.0
Amazing place and location.
Amazing place and location. The staff were very friendly though, especially Carol who makes my wife day so special on her birthday much appreciated, she even upgraded our room that was amazing The ocean view was spectacular, and the breakfast was next level anytime again for me to visit Sea Star Lodge.Guest review byBazzilicoSouth Africa - 8.0

A very quiet and safe residential neighbourhood, and a more desirable part of the larger busy area of Gansbaai. Very little in de Kelders itself in the way of eateries, bars, shops - the best restaurant being JT's Kitchen just round the corner. Supermarkets, petrol stations, fast food and restaurants etc are in the centre of Gansbaai -a short drive away. We specifically needed to be in de Kelders for personal family reasons, but probably wouldn't normally choose it as a base for a holiday. On the other hand, for peace and quiet it's the better place to be.Guest review byHasseUnited Kingdom
