This place and the owner is everything you could ever wish for when travelling in these parts of Africa. Wonderful and clean rooms, great breakfast/lunch/dinner, excellent wifi and good location (don’t get fooled by the map; every taxi driver knows where to go from the city center when you tell them the location, its less than 10 minutes). It is located in a very authentic local neighbourhood of Chipata, the owner really helps you with everything and speaks perfect English. I ended up staying here again when coming back from Malawi. Alexandria ‘s Corner is a quiet little haven. It is clean, the staff are very friendly and went out of their way to provide us dinner when we arrived. It is well looked after and, unlike most places we have visited, had electricity and hot water all day and night.
