Resorts in Galle

The most perfect stay! From the moment we arrived Nimal and Dinesh made us feel incredibly welcome. They took the upmost pride in the property and the surroundings. After a long day and early start for us in Yala doing a safari then travelling to Galle, we had an early dinner in Galle forte. Sow asnt too hungry at dinner time. Animal prepared us fresh fruit platters and toast with various condiments and a lovely pot of tea. There is 2 duplex Villas side by side with a full kitchen if you want to cook. The stay felt so private and like we had the whole place to ourselves.  The villas are brand new, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean!! We were welcomed with fresh coconut water and local fruits. The host Nimal and Dinesh could not do enough for us! Always on hand but always giving your privacy. The whole design of the villas, pool area, dining area and gardens is beautiful! There is a natural lily pad pong out the back of the villa and the decking is made from the railway. Nimals knowledge of nature is fantastic and you can tell his is passionate and so caring about it too. He showed us around the gardens with all of the fruit trees, we were lucky enough to see a family of monkeys! And huge land Monior lizards and a baby one on the grounds. It is a natural haven, so peaceful and very comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and plenty! Fresh English breakfast,  with a platter of fruits from the garden picked that morning! Tea and coffee. Nimal made us all fresh fruit smoothies before checkout which was very kind. Fresh towels are provided for the pool area which again is super clean and well maintained. The highlight of the stay was the kindest and attention paid by Nimal and Dinesh they are the 2 who are managing the property and they are doing it a superb justice! We are sad to have only stayed here for 1 night before we head back to Colombo yo fly home.

Heavensa was an absolutely exceptional villa ! From the minute we drove into the premises ,we were impressed with the beautifully manicured gardens, immense infinity pool and unparalleled mountain views . Being escorted into the immaculately maintained villa ( by very courteous and accommdating staff ), we were thrilled with the modern amenities of the rooms with the inviting private plunge pool. The food was a culinary delight and the surroundings were so peaceful . The location provides peace and tranquility but also only ten minutes from the hustle and buster of the Galle Fort . one of our best vacations of international standards and we cannot wait to visit again !!!

We highly recommend staying here very very peaceful and clean. We loved sitting out on the veranda surrounded by nature listening to the birds, it was very quiet resort. Our room was gorgeous and very comfy bed. The pool is also fantastic. Every morning we had the most delicious breakfast which filled us up for hours. For us the location was great to get to Galle via tuk tuk, also we saw the turtles, local beaches are fab too. We also went to Koggala lake and did a boat safari and feed monkeys, saw cinnamon island. Suresh also took us to the local weavers where you can see traditional methods so interesting. Suresh was the most kindest and genuine of hosts, ensuring we had the most comfortable stay, he arranged tuk tuk for us and took us to the lake - nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed talking to him and learnt much about Sri Lanka. All in all this was such an excellent authentic place with an exceptional host.

Located in beautiful quiet place. Clean and tidy. Rooms are so comfortable and great view through windows. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and the service is exceptional .

The place had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the hospitality was truly exceptional. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect holiday spot – it’s absolutely worth it!

THE LOCATION WAS GOOD AND CALM, WE FELT LIKE AT HOME AND ROOMS ARE PRITY GOOD , HUGE , CLEAN , AND HAD GOOD FRESHNESS . POOL GOOD AND CLEAN NOT TOO BIG PERFECT FOR SMALL KIDS AS WELL AS ADULTS

I am shocked there is only 1 review on Google - this place deserves a thousand reviews!! What a hidden gem of Unawatuna. A leisurely stroll away from the beach, nestled in nature with amazing owners and the nicest dog, Jimmy!🐶 It’s a spacious room, cosy double bed, hot water 🙌🏽 air conditioning, a little self contained kitchenette, even with a little dining table and chairs. It was really clean and tidy, well equipped and not to mention, the breakfast we had provided to us from the owner was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka! Oh also the wifi was super!!! I honestly hope you read this review and decide to stay there because we had a really lovely 4 night stay here. Thank you! 🥹♥️

Araliya Beach Resort & Spa is a great hotel in Sri Lanka, this was our second long stay in the resort and we plan to go back in February 2023 :) The layout, gym, resturants, bar, food and beach area is great, and the location around the hotel has nice cafés and shops.@ There is one thing we would recommend the hotel to change and that is the music by the pool during the day. It's way too loud and way to noisy - it's like crazy party/rave music and it goes on for hours. We left the pool/beach area early every day just because our heads were buzzing from the heavy music, not being able to take a nap or even have a conversation without "yelling" to each other. Spotify has alot of calm but still modern pop music, the list is called "Lounge Music." Next time we arrive we hope this change has been made :)

This accomodation is so cute and one of the cutest bars along the whole beach strip! It is newly renovated with gorgeous interior, and the owner goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. We booked for 1 night and ended up staying for a whole week. The food and cocktails were delicious and they even have natural mosquito spray for use in the bar. At one point we needed cash to purchase water from the convenience store next store, and the owner happily lent this to us from the till so we didn’t have to go to the ATM. When we did have to go to the ATM about 500m away he offered to let us borrow his scooter. The atmosphere is like a holiday paradise and they have live music shows too with talented performers. Room is spacious and has aircon and fan, and a comfy bed with cute but simple furnishings. Plus shower pressure and hot water!! Which can be rare to find on the coast.
