How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe Aparment was really well equiped with all you needed for a nice week skiing. The kitchen is well equiped and it was great to have two bathrooms.
The beds were not very confortable and they woud imporve with a top matrass. It would also be nice to have some more kitchen towels and some hand soap.

Verified reviewThe location of the apartment was excellent. 1 min walk to slopes. The apartment however is on a hill so walking down to shops/restaurants was fine but back up can be hard if carrying heavy groceries etc.
The apartment could gave been cleaner on arrival. Just dust under beds etc. I didn't know we had to make our own beds on arrival, which after a long day of travel was tiring as i had to make up 6 of them.

Double beds small for 2 people, not very easy to make up due to being jammed in the area. The mezzanine beds separated when using so not very serviceable as beds. If apartment was at capacity though the storage would be a problem.

Verified reviewIt was great location, the upstairs single beds with trundler beds underneath worked very well for our children. Easy apartment for a family.
The internet was poor, no smart tv/streaming services on the television so only local broadcast channels which were largely in French or Catalan. The heating was off when we arrived and it took hours to warm up to an acceptable temp which was pretty uncomfortable, especially for our small children.

Verified reviewLots of space in the appartement. Very well heated As hot water is working with gas everybody could have a hot shower. Everything you need in the appartement for cooking, coffee machine, hair dryer, microwave.. Very lovely cute appartement, very nicely decorated. With a bath and locker for skis. Very well located. 2 min from the ski slopes. No nice view but we didn't care. Very quiet even during our festival weekend. Only 1 problem: very bad Internet connection.

Firstly the staff were rude and refused to give back our deposit despite us leaving the apartment in a very clean and tidy way. The company basically try and save on cleaning fees by making guests do it themselves. They expect the flats to be completely spotless and ready for the next guests which is something we had never experienced before when going on holiday, especially after paying a lot of money to stay there. The wifi is also basically non-existent. Very poor and can barely connect to it for basic messaging. Some areas of the flat didn’t get any signal at all. The hot water is temperamental. You can only get about 2 short showers worth of hot water before it runs out and you need to wait for the tank to full up again. Not a problem if you’re in a small group but for any groups of 3 or more you will have problems with the hot water. Very inconvenient when you are trying to get ready in the evening to go out.
We regret having to respond publicly, but we feel it is necessary to clarify the situation. The apartment was delivered in clean and proper condition, as we always do for all our guests. However, after your departure, our team found the property in an unacceptable state of cleanliness, with visible mess and failure to comply with basic order guidelines. Minor damages were also noted, along with leftover food and drink. During your stay, incidents related to excessive alcohol consumption were reported by other residents in the building, causing disturbances that go against the respectful environment we strive to maintain in all our properties. Regarding the Wi-Fi, we do offer free internet access in all our apartments. However, during peak hours or in certain areas, signal strength may vary, and we are currently working with our provider to improve overall coverage. As for hot water, all our apartments are equipped with gas heaters or water tanks, which provide a reliable supply. Still, after several consecutive uses, a short waiting time may be required for the system to recharge — this is noted in the accommodation information. The decision to withhold part of the deposit was made based on objective, documented evidence, following our internal protocol and supported by photographs. We are committed to providing a high-quality, safe, and respectful environment for all guests. We sincerely appreciate those who contribute to maintaining that standard through responsible behavior. Parking is expensive and the payment machines are very old (they only accept coins and you can't pay for more than almost a day - not even a whole day). Parking spaces are limited and do not have indicators to know where and how many spaces are still available.
