How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewExcellent location - close to the slopes and away from the noisy night life in pas de la casa (albeit only a short walk). The breakfast was exceptional for a small hotel, with plenty of choice. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and always on hand. All in all, an excellent hotel for a ski break in Pas!
It would have been nice to have a seat to use rather than just sitting on the bed, but recognise that’s probably more just us being fussy. The walls were also relatively thin, so noise does transfer between rooms. This was fine for us, but a noisy neighbour could cause trouble. The chairs moving in the bar area/breakfast room were also noisy despite being several floors above.

Verified reviewWe had a great stay in the Hotel Caribou and wanna share the feedback! Location: 5 mins by foot to the nearest slope, it was so convenient. A lot of restaurantes, bars and shops near the hotel. Staff: friendly and polite people, always try to help us. Breakfast: good variety of food, salty and sweet option. Perfect selection of tea, we took tea with us to the room several times a day. Room: clean, bright room with a beautiful view of the mountains. Ski/snowboard adaptation: the hotel has lockers for the equipment. You can buy ski pass right here on the reception. Also, the gave us discount in the rent of equipment. There are a lift from the lockers to the street, so useful. We had 3 hitting batteries in our room, so we were able to dry all our clothes after snowboarding. Slopes are near the hotel.

It was at the top of the hill so quite a trek uphill to get there but close to lifts. Being able too book a van for the luggage from the bus stop would be fantastic

Verified reviewThe hotel crew were very nice and the view from the window is astonishing
In my opinion, there were so many problems with this hotel. First of all, if you come with a car, be aware that there is no parking near y (other then a few single parking slots on the road). That means you need to park in one of the parking lots (which cost ~25 euros a day) down town and then walk all the way up back to the hotel (which is on the top of the hill) when you arrive. Now for the hotel itself. I have no single idea why the hotel is marked "4 stars" in Booking. There are no facilities at all in the hotel. Nothing. Not a spa, not a gym, not vern a coffee machine in your room. No minibar or a room service. Nothing. Only a breakfast (which I'll talk about in a moment). In other words, this is actually a *bed and breakfast* hotel with a 24/7 reception. Not even a 3 stars hotel. So don't have high (or any) expectations from the hotel itself. The room themselves have a passable size. Not too-big but you have enough space to get out of the bed and change clothes. They even bring you a stand for you small luggage, surprising. The beds are terrible. The "double" bed are actually two single beds grouped together. This is a disgrace for a hotel. I didn't order a twins room, I ordered *a* double bed room. That is a single big bed, bto two. Very disappointed from that. Also the bed itself was terrible. Very jumpy and very uncomfortable. One of the lowest-tiered mattress I've ever seen in an hotel. The pillows you originally get are uncomfortable too, small and not holding your head much, but in the wardrobe we had some bigger ones which were a bit better. The bathroom had a (small) bathtub, which was a nice surprise, but that good surprise was covered by a dirty floor near the toilet. There were many water/pee stains that were visible when looking the floor in the right direction; the floor is colored in such way that it's harder to spot dirt, but it doesn't meen it's not there.

Verified reviewReally nice hotel with clean modern rooms. Breakfast was good with lots of variety of hot and cold items. The ski store lockers were great but the walk up the hill at the end of the day with your skis was abit of a killer 😂
You couldn’t turn the heating down in the rooms so we had to sleep with the patio door open slightly as it was just so hot!

No restaurant for evening meal, though the staff were extra helpful, allowing us to use the breakfast and bar area to eat/reheat food.
