Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe pull out sofabed was a bit uncomfortable.
Resort was quiet and peaceful. Facilities were good, pool was clean and good size. Lots of shade around the pool area. Our room was very well located and close to the beach. Beach was lovely, plenty of sunbeds available. There was a swim up bar in the sea near the resort which was fun. The resort felt very secure. Staff very friendly.

United StatesIt would have been nice to have free bottled water in the room or water refill station since the tap water isn't safe to drink. Having to buy large amounts of water to keep hydrated was a frustration.
Location is great, staff are wonderful, bed was so comfy, room and bathroom was spacious. Also, the floating tiki bar Kon Tiki is right in front of the property, although not affiliated with the hotel and only takes cash, but a great time!

CanadaNo screen meshing on the windows, so if you want fresh air, you get bugs. Other rooms had, ours didn't. Tiny window and no fan in the washroom.
Very clean, best Location on the best beach. Great staff. We saw the other spots on the same strip and this was the most modern, clean, young, and happening hotel. Would definitely come back here next time.

We stayed 3 nights in Cottage 1, an upgrade, because no Pool View villas were available. The cottage was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It had its own washer, dryer, and a BBQ on the spacious private terrace. The staff were friendly and professional, and they always offered their assistance if they saw you were in need of any help. The small beach area was a couple of steps away from the door of the cottage, with beach chairs and umbrellas available for the use of guests.

United StatesVery large and spacious cottages, they actually upgraded us for free so we got a pool view. The kitchen was well equipped and the terrace was amazing for drying our clothes. There are multiple closets, the shower is HUGE, and the bed is extremely comfortable. We took so many naps on it. We were extremely pleased and pleasantly surprised by the size of the cottage. Also very clean. Absolutely no complaints there. The employees were all very nice and helpful. It was easy asking questions and getting help. The pool was nice, they clean in the morning but by afternoon, it had leaves in it, but we didn't care. The hotel is beachfront so you walk through a gate and there's the beach! There's a shared small beach with the next door hotel but Buccaneer had its own dedicated chairs. We never had to fight for chairs, which was great. Although the beach area for Bucaneer is small, the actual beach is a long one and you can walk all the way down both ways. There's conveniently located restaurants nearby but they are pricey. Overall, we really loved this place and would definitely come back!

United KingdomNo issues really
Honestly one of the best decisions we made during this trip was to book with Buccaneer. The location is amazing with back of property opening onto pristine white beaches. Reception staff were great, as were the cleaning team and massive shout out to Stanley who does the deck chairs and goes above and beyond.

BermudaThe mattress in room 14 could be replaced it dipped in the middle my only other comment would be to provide a swiffer/large broom in the apartment for the days you don’t get housekeeping to keep the sand at bay!
Well set out, easily accessible , clean, great location had everything you needed nearby.

RomaniaThere aren't many things to dislike, very few actually: - bedroom didn't have mosquito nets, so we couldn't open the bedroom windows (all other rooms had very good quality mosquito nets). It's a pity as with windows open you didn't need AC - so we had to use it in the bedroom - when we first came in there were several mosquitoes in the rooms/bathroom, and they are fisty - they weren't bothered much by the spray, had to catch them all - once caught we didn't get new ones though - and anyway, mosquitoes are all over the island, so it's not a problem specifically of this location. We also tried mosquito electric repellents bought from Antigua and it had no effect, I saw mosquitoes flying around them - if you don't like crowds the beach is not great as it's the primary destination for cruise-ship tourists (so it's quite busy between 10AM-4PM) - but we never saw them staying on the beach in front, they just move around. The sunbeds are for hotel guests only. We preferred driving to other more secluded beaches during day time, and only spend time here in the early mornings and afternoons - in the apartment there are stains on the walls/ceilings from the occasional smashed mosquitoes - I think the hotel should do more to clean them up, and perhaps provide electric rackets so the tourists stop smashing them on the walls using their shoes
Buccaneer is a great boutique holiday rental. It's a mix between a hotel and apartment rental. They don't have a restaurant, but the one-bed apartments are way bigger than the usual hotel room, plus you get a patio and a fully functional kitchen, so you can prepare your own meals. There are anyway restaurants and beach bars just few steps away on the beach. It's not on the cheap-side, but you get what you pay for - nice and comfortable apartments, a very nice garden which is well taken care of, 24/7 security, reception desk, housekeeping (once every two days, which is enough), direct access to the beach and plenty of sunbeds (at any time of the day there were at least several sunbeds available), very nice pool, good AC units, etc. We spent our entire Antigua holiday here (9 days), and we are very happy with the choice. The staff is friendly and always there to assist. The beach in front of the property is very nice, way better than the one in front of Antigua Village, and it feels more "private". The buildings and furnishings are well done and everything seems quite new, with few exceptions (usually in the Caribbean you often get that "ran-down" feeling), so that's a big plus.

United StatesPrice was quite high, but comparable to others in the area of the same level. Had to pay a refundable deposit for beach towels. Not daily cleaning (every other day).
Great location right on the beach. Grounds are well kept, the hotel is actually better in person than in pictures. Large bathroom. AC working in both rooms (bedroom and living room). Very good wifi.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was lovely and exited straight out onto the beach which it shared with the neighbouring boutique hotel. There were enough sunbeds for every guest and you could eat and drink at the Salt Plage/Starfish restaurant and bar located on the shared beach.😁 Had great fun watching the birds come to the orchids, bougainvillea and bird feeders. Hummingbirds almost too fast for a picture!.

The Location is brilliant and positioned in a great spot on the beach, having their own private sunbeds and umbrellas. The staff are really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a great time with great walks along the beach and venturing out to the tiki Bar just off the beach.
