Reviews of Alko Hotel Shkoder 4 stars

Alko Hotel was the best accomodation we were during our Balkan motorbike tour. I can mention only positive points: the safe parking lot for motorbikes with a security guard; the ladies at the front desk were extremely kind, helpful and nice. The hotel is very high quality, with modern, clean, well equipped and comfortable rooms. We found everything we needed in the minibar. The city center is a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was No 1! Thank you very much, I am sure we'll return again! :)

The location was very convenient, a few minutes away from the main central part of the city. The parking facilities were also good. The room.itself was fine, quite spacious. Breakfast was good in the neighbouring building.

The hairdryer was broken in our room.

The location was kinda in the city center(5 minutes walking). The room was pretty comfortable. The value for money was good compared to European standard but I think we would find something better.

The fan wasn’t working, just making drill sounds. Most of the staff wasn’t speaking English and the receptionist wasn’t at the reception most of the time, but at least she spoke English and was polite. She made us promise for early breakfast because of a morning trip, but when we came there was nothing prepared. They offered us making of some food but we didn’t have time for it-that’s why we just wanted to have it prepared in the first place. Our first breakfast was super cold and the waitress just brought us water and didn’t ask for anything. For the third breakfast we didn’t expect anything better(ofc because one wasn’t even hot and the for the second we didn’t get anything) but they surprisingly asked if we wanted coffee and the food was at least hot.. which didn’t help the disgusting sausage. This breakfast wasn’t what I would expect from 4* hotel, there was nothing to choose from when you don’t like eggs and tomatoes like me and ofc dont enjoy old rubber type of sausage…

The hotel was very good, big and comfortable bed and personal very nice. Breakfast was good too.

We booked the bus-ferry-bus to koman lake and then Valbona. The driver came in the morning, we mentioned several times that we were going to koman lake and not Theth but he wouldn’t listen. Even the tickets mentioned the lake. Finally he said ok for the lake… One hour later, in the middle of the way, he received a call and he started asking again where we we going, we kept saying koman lake. He turned around and went back to the hotel with no explantion. Apparently there were 2 guys waiting for him to go to Theth… so he left us there, outside the hotel, with no solution or anything, he took the other 2 persons and left. We entered in the hotel and at the reception they were not even aware of all this. The gave us the money back, but no other solution to bring us the the lake that day. We lost our trip to Valbona, everything that was already booked over there, we couldn’t make the trecking as the rest of the week was already organized and we couldn’t loose one more day .

Clean, good service, friendly staff, good breakfast, good coffee, well stocked mini bar.

Although the internet speed was fast, the WiFi did from time to time disconnect. AC is slow.

Great spot for parking, good breakfast and the staff was great and made sure that we had all our questions answered. Facilities in the hotel were great as well.

I liked everything

Located centrally. Walking distance to and from buses to Theth and Valbona. Rooms a good size. Reception staff very helpful.

Located above a pool hall so very noisy until quite late. We had to leave window open as there was no Airconditioning in the room - might have been ok with window closed

Young staff of hotel and restaurant very helpful and welcoming. Hotel a short walk from centre with secure parking.

TV didn’t work - a minor annoyance.

The ladies at the front were awesome. So friendly and informative. Great place!!!!

Me and my girlfriend had the warmest welcome in the whole trip. Thanks a lot Alexia, really, you are an amazing person. The hotel is fantastic and location is perfect.

Good breakfast and close to the center street. It also has a private parking. Rooms were clean and big.
