How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt’s one of the few hotels in the Ksamil area having private beach and free parking. If you like to be close to the center (10-15 min walking distance) but away from the crowds, it has the ideal location. Try to books a room with the see view if you can! The staff is amazing, polite and helpful. They try to keep the place as clean as possible. The floors of the room was mopped and the towels were changed everyday. The restaurant menu (breakfast was included) is not that wide but tasteful. Beach area was also clean and managed well, very child friendly.
The building has started to age a bit. The facilities may be limited if you are looking for a luxurious stay. There is no safe locker in the rooms. The restaurant has no cocktail menu. The most unpleasant side was the someone (guessing one of the hotel staff) with a very loud motorbike, made us wake up in the middle of the night and early morning.

“Garden view “ is a car park on side of hotel, with a smell of sewage at night. See picture (3)

Verified reviewI loved the location, it is not in the center of the city so it is quiet and you can relax. Center of Ksamil is 10 min walk by the sea. The staff is so pleasant and they really make sure that everything is clean. They clean the room every day and change the towels. Food in hotel is phenomenal. The sea is clean and the staff makes sure the beach is clean of trash and sea grass. The parking is next to hotel so basically you can see your car from the balcony. Will be coming back here 🌊☀️

Verified reviewThe view, breakfast, room cleanliness and location were amazing. It's nice to have your own beach, even if it's small. Free parking is also sufficient.
Since the sun loungers on the beach are made of fabric, they are very deformed, worn out and dirty.

Verified reviewThe Hotel Artur is a fantastic family run hotel. Its location was perfect for us directly on the beach with the best views and sunsets. It is incredibly clean with really friendly staff. It is not in the centre of the busy Ksamil but is only a 10-15 minute walk along a pedestrian walkway if you like the hustle and bustle of the town. Breakfast is great and substantial with really fresh produce. As a guest you have the benefit of free sun-beds as all other beaches and beach clubs in Ksamil you need to pay. Fantastic Family run hotel with the best views!
There is road construction work currently going on to the rear of the hotel which creates quite a lot of noise during working hours. Biggest issue is there is a new beach club around 400m away which is really load but I think this is being dealt with by the hotel owners which should be rectified soon.

Verified reviewLocation and view from the balcony
Poor breakfast, poor coctails, bathroom is small, no space for personal belonings, wet floors from shower

Verified reviewNice view on the beach and the islands. Breakfast was rich and tasty. The staff is nice especially the ones serving the breakfast. The hotel has a private beach, one umbrella and two beds for each room, but you need to bring your own towels. The beach was cleaned every day.
The air conditioning didn’t work well. The room is a bit small for 3 people. If you want to eat outside of the hotel restaurant you need to walk a bit (maybe 15min) as there is nothing nearby, it’s located a bit far from the center.

The rooms are super clean and the staff are great they can’t do enough for you The view from the sea view room we had was stunning the sunset was something else . All food served there was really nice we loved sitting and having breakfast in such a beautiful spot

Verified reviewI think it is the last "human scale"hotel in Ksamil. All others are very big. Here the owners are very kind. Very nice view from the room. The room is very simple but comfortable. There is a car park.

Verified reviewThe hotel is right in front of their beach and there is quick access to the other beaches in ksamil
It's really at the beginning of the town so you are far from the main area with restaurants and bars. There was one day that electricity was shut down and unfortunately they don't have a plan b. Also the view from our room was bad, it was supposed to be to garden/mountain and it was facing other buildings and there was just a kind of a parking area from the hotel

Verified reviewOn the beach. Great towels and bed linen. Very clean. Great air con and shower. Good view from balcony.
Music playing from early morning. Traffic noise loud throughout night. Large fridge in room yet big notice saying forbidden to eat or drink anything in the room. Staff unfriendly. Check in process very brusque and not as expected.
