Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AlbaniaEverything was great – in the morning we could hear birds and cicadas, which created a very pleasant atmosphere. In the afternoon, however, a strong wind picked up, which was a bit unexpected. We were told that the area is generally windy, perhaps due to the hotel’s location in an olive grove on a rocky hillside

TurkeyOverall, this was a very uncomfortable experience. We booked a “standard triple” room for two nights. While we knew the room had no balcony, we were shocked to find that it also had NO proper window – the only window opens into the hallway. This detail should have been clearly stated in the room description. The room felt extremely cramped and claustrophobic. For me, it was quite suffocating to stay there for two nights. If I had known this, I would never have paid €120 for two nights. The room appears to be a converted section of a hallway, with thin walls – even sounds from the lobby are clearly audible. Since the window faces the corridor, we could hear every footstep outside. The bathroom was problematic: the shower water did not drain properly, leaving the floor wet, and there was no ventilation, which caused a bad smell. Water from the bathroom even dripped into the room, leaving the floor dirty after a while. There was no clothing rack in the room, and the shelves were dusty. Although the Booking.com listing states that card payments are accepted, we were told they only take cash. When we asked to cancel due to this, they said we’d have to pay a 30% fee. Only after insisting a lot did they finally provide a way to pay by card. Breakfast was disappointing, with only two options – omelet or traditional pancakes – and you can only pick one. When we asked for an extra plate, we were told it would cost extra. There were no beverage options beyond milk, coffee, and water. At the beach, there are sunbeds, but you can only use the very last row for free; the others require payment. This is a new hotel and has many shortcomings. But I think the first thing they should do is prioritize guest satisfaction instead of calling everything an “extra.” Every concern was met with a “🤷🤷♀️” attitude. Unfortunately, this was our worst two-night stay in Albania.

AlbaniaI like the location, in less than 3 minutes walking you’re at the beach. And yeah, talking about the beach. The area is amazing. You can enjoy the sea waves, the calmness of the mountains, the very positive environment and most of all the very sociable, welcoming and great staff. They are all doing the most out of it! I felt like at home and I was wishing to stay much more☺️ also the little cold, refreshing, gorgeous lagoon they have in their beach…the most special detail I have seen in Qeparo! You can also find activities such as paddling or even dancing! I became part of a Latin dance class they were organizing and I had so much fun! The hotel is of a very good quality, the stay was so comfortable, so clean and very welcoming. I would definetely go there more and more times. I loved the breakfast they are offering! They were so kind to ask whether I preferred the traditional or English breakfast but of course I chose the famous ‘kila’. It gives me a sense of home, reminds of good old times at family. Overall, a wonderful choice to escape to the beach!

AlbaniaI had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel in Qeparo! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with such warm and genuine hospitality by the owners and staff , it truly made me feel at home. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, offering everything I needed for a relaxing vacation. What made the experience even more special was the beautiful interior design, decorated with traditional Albanian elements, something unique that you rarely find elsewhere. It gave the whole place a charming and authentic feel. The beach was only a 2 min walk away, which was perfect for enjoying the sea at any time of day. I loved every moment of my stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and culturally rich escape in southern Albania. I can’t wait to come back!
