Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThis is a place where you want to spend time, not just sleep - a truly authentic albanian experience. The atmosphere is warm and homey, set in a beautiful traditional stone house with the most charming Albanian-style interior. The rooms are simply stunning — traditionaly furnished, and full of character. It’s a farm full of life: goats, sheep, a cow, chickens, chicks, cats, dogs, and even wild turtles roaming freely around. Our children absolutely loved it. Staying here is also a personal experience. Marjana and her family are incredibly warm and welcoming. Our little daughter fell in love with her and spent every possible moment by her side. Yet if you prefer privacy, the guesthouse is well separated and peaceful. Marjana is a beautiful and generous Albanian woman who prepares the most amazing breakfasts, using local and seasonal ingredients. The location is perfect — close to the famous Mrizi i Zanave restaurant, Koman Lake, and Shkodër. If you’re seeking the real Albania, far from tourist resorts, this is the place for you. Here, you’ll experience genuine Albanian hospitality and the soul of the countryside. We would love to return one day — and when we do, we’ll definitely come back to BabaNu.

GermanyNothing! Everything was great!
Exceptional experience in the Albanian countryside, a lovely host and sourrounded by animals We had a truly wonderful stay at this accommodation! The place is clean and very cozy — you immediately feel at home. The host is absolutely lovely, super warm and welcoming, and made us feel like part of the family. The location is beautifully rural, surrounded by nature and animals, which gave the whole experience a peaceful and authentic charm. We especially loved the traditional Albanian breakfast — everything was homemade and absolutely delicious! The room itself is very comfortable and cozy, equipped with air conditioning and very clean. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the care the host puts into everything. One small tip: we recommend arriving before it gets dark, as the road to the accommodation can be a bit tricky to navigate at night. But it’s absolutely worth it once you’re there. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience and we would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

AustraliaRoad to the house is steep but totally doable by car.
Baba Nu is a guesthouse on a working farm with a cow, sheep, dogs and cats. The room itself is lovely, it's part of a beautifully restored barn with comfortable bed, small fridge, air conditioning, and very nice bathroom. We stayed two nights and the highlight for us was the breakfasts - these were absolutely amazing! So much food and all made on the farm. The sheep's yoghurt was amazing. Darfina and her mum were absolutely lovely too.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing regarding the people and accommodation, but the one thing I would recommend is that if you’re driving a rental car then maybe ask in advance if you can leave it at the bottom of the driveway and ask if someone can collect you at the bottom as it’s quite a bumpy dirt track. Also double check the Google map location as it initially took us to some random house.
Staying here was maybe the highlight of our entire Albanian road trip, such a peaceful and beautiful location with so much charm! From the moment we arrive Dafina and her wonderful family were so welcoming and lovely, making us feel at home straight away. Dafina even drove us to Mrizi i Zanave for our dinner reservation and picked us up after, so kind! Her mum made such a beautiful breakfast in the morning too! 100% recommend staying here!

AustriaNothing - all perfect!
Our stay at Babanu Guesthouse was truly special. We stayed in a cozy room that used to be a stable of the family-run farm — comfortable, clean, and full of character. Dafina (the daughter, who manages the place) speaks excellent English and gave us great local tips. We felt very welcome and enjoyed learning about the farm and the area including Mrizi i Zanave (the purpose of spending a night in the area on our way to Theth). Breakfast was homemade by the mother and served on a terrace with amazing views. A peaceful, authentic stay with real warmth and hospitality.

GermanyNot easy to find the farmers road to the location. A little sign on the main road may help
Large, comfortable main room, very nice setup, clean and silent, although the guest lives with animals within a little farm. Charming owners (entire family) fulfilled all extra wishes incl a light dinner after late arrival. Breakfast selection was outstanding, All products self-made with incredients from the farm.

AlbaniaTheir driveway is a little under construction still however the host drove us up and down of the property with their own vehicle since we parked ours at the bottom of the driveway. They are working on improving it but they do everything possible to help you out .
The breakfast was amazing . So fresh and they accommodate my son’s dairy allergies . They even went out of their way and made our kiddos popcorn as a snack . The family that runs this guesthouse is so amazing and friendly and hospitable. We will definitely book here again in September when we come back with my parents
