BOOK IT !!!! I swear this villa was the BEST hotel i’ve ever been in my life !!!! We stayed 2 nights but if i knew how this villa is amazing i would have booked more nights. The view is spectacular, the villa is so tidy and clean and beautiful. The location is excellent, it is soundproof we weren’t deranged by the street noise. There is a mirror light for the makeup. The balcony there is magical for sunrise.

This is one of the hidden gems that you only really discover once you walk through the gate. A very spacious villa, with a modern and carefully selected interior. Fully equipped, with two balconies, one with view of the castle, equipped with lounge chairs. Very easy communication with the host, she even left us some cold beers in the fridge, which were very welcome with 40-degrees outside temperature. The castle, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops are all within walking distance. Parking is on the premises, but you will have to drive through some narrow and hilly cobblestone roads to get there... but there is also a very convenient parking 300m away.

Gorgeous apartment, old style building but very stylish interior, the nicest apartment of our trip. Great city centre location with parking, but was still quiet at night. Elina (the host) was really helpful and friendly and could easily be reached on WhatsApp. Would highly recommend.

Castlefront Villa was absolutely a unique experience and probably one of the best Villas in Albania. It was located only 2 minutes on foot away from the old bazaar ( literally quite central) and it had its own parking on the site which is not very usual for the hotels in the old town of Gjirokaster. The view of the castle was jaw-dropping and all the landscape seemed majestic from our room . The exterior was built with the elements of the traditional houses in Gjirokaster, whereas the interior offered a high class decoration, with super modern equipment , extremely comfortable beds and crystal clear rooms. The hosts couldn’t have been more sweet , helpful and friendly. This villa isn’t for those who want just a bed and Wi-Fi. It’s for souls craving something quietly extraordinary. A place that doesn’t scream luxury but whispers magic. We will definitely come here each time we visit Gjirokaster and i totally recommend this villa to everyone!!

Our fault that we didn’t stay longer than 1 night there.

This villa is a fairy-tale oasis of peace, taste, design, and wonderful hosts. The interior was designed by architects, the view of the castle is magnificent. The accommodation is next to the old part of the city. The hosts are intellectuals. Their friendly daughter studies medicine in Saarbrücken. What a pleasant chat we had. The view of the castle is dreamy. Everything is arranged and thoughtfully designed to perfection. It's a shame we didn't stay a few more days. Worth every euro. Outstanding.

Parking is a bit harder. It is better to leave auto on a public parking spot down the road.

The place is beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated. Everything you need is provided – shampoo, drinks in the fridge, and more. The terrace is stunning, and the location right in the heart of the old town is incredible.

The only thing to note is that access by car involves navigating very narrow streets, which didn’t bother us but might be tricky for some drivers.

The location is fantastic, at the gates of the old town facing the castle. The room was spotless & the facilities were excellent. Small details like the fluffy towels, coffee facilities, drinks in the fridge, seating area at the front all made this the perfect stay. The host Elina couldn’t have been more helpful. She messaged on WhatsApp before we arrived with all of the necessary details & was so friendly & helpful throughout our stay. Her mom & dad were also lovely.

We loved the location. It was close to everything. Our room was amazing and super spacious for me, my daughter and husband. We loved it our stay. The host was great and really friendly. I would definitely stay here again the next time we're in the area.

Everything was great and I honestly have no complaints. Perhaps the only thing would have been to stay longer and enjoy our room a bit more.

We had a wonderful stay at Castlefront Villa. The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable. Elena is amazing and she did everything possible to make our stay memorable. Thank you Elena and your mum, we enjoyed meeting you both and staying at your beautiful property.

Parking was difficult to navigate.

Fabulous hosts - picked us up from and returned us to the bus station. Accommodation had been designed and completed to a high standard.

We liked everything! The hosts (and their daughter who manages the online business) were super friendly and helped organize a birthday surprise. The room was modern, clean and spacious. The location is the best possible in town. Private parking with a gate is also a huge bonus.

The parking entrance is quite tricky, but the host will happily help if asked and it didn't bother us as a parking in such a central place is not a given. Just a note, the king size bed is two connected beds, which is quite normal, but we would have preferred one single big bed 😊

We still miss being at this property - it has a nice big terrace with spectacular views of the castle. The centre of town is just a couple of minutes away but it was quiet for sleeping. Our hosts were very responsive, kind and helpful (especially with the parking!). The flat is fully modernised and comfortable - highly recommended.

We loved our stay at the Castlefront Villa. I chatted with our host on What’s App prior to our arrival. I had trouble finding the location from the booking.com address but later realized she sent me a link in what’s app that would have worked better. A family member came to track us down and then helped back our vehicle into the parking spot. The mom was on site to give us our keys and let us in. She was incredibly sweet (as was the daughter on what’s app). The guest house was very modern on the inside. Bathroom was immaculate and it had everything we needed for our short stay. The best part was an espresso in the morning on the terrace right outside our door and the incredible view of the castle. We stayed in 6 guest houses in Albania and my friend and I quickly agreed with liked this spot best. It was steps away from the bazaar. Great value! And in the morning the father of the family came to back our vehicle out of the parking spot. Such kind people! Would highly recommend! Thank you for having us!

That we couldn’t stay longer!

This establishment is perfect. The proprietor fantastic. The rooms are spacious and very modern and very clean. There is absolutely nothing you could think of that is wrong. It is as good as it gets. Location perfect.

High end beautifully decorated apartment with stunning view in Gjirokaster old town. Loved the interior and terrace, so comfortable and brilliantly located for shops, cafes and restaurants. Owners friendly and helpful which we really appreciated. We would stay again for sure, thoroughly recommend.

Literally loved everything.

This may be one of our favorite properties from years of travel. PROS; The design of the rooms The details provided in the rooms The appointments are all new, of great quality, and add to the guest's comfort The location is right next to the bazaar, and 15 minutes from the castle The grounds are very nice and pleasing to the eye and nose The hosts are very friendly and helpful

CONS; - We found the rate to be a little high, but the properties in this town are elevated - There was no cook stove in the kitchen or a microwave oven, which would be more of an issue if we stayed longer than one night

It was a great experience! The villa is beautiful, the apartment is big , clean and comfy. You can find everything you need in the apartment. The view is amazing. And location is perfect- in the heart of the old town. The landlady is very nice and helpful person . We enjoyed our stay. Totally recommend!

This place is brilliant. So close to the old bizarre - just a few hundred meters further up the hill and then not to far from castle. Yet it is still so quiet and peaceful. It has an amazing outlook from the property both day and night as you can sit outside your room on the balcony and admire the beautiful castle views and across the valley. The rooms themselves are extremely comfortable and very high quality. Better beds/sheets/pillows than some of the 5 star hotels i have stayed in around the world. Beautiful modern bathroom - very well appointed that also offers toiletries complimentary. Some drinks and chocolate snacks provided free of charge also another welcome addition. But above all of this is the very friendly family that run this small hotel. Daughter has perfect english and sends all the information you need prior to arrival and is available for any questions throughout your stay. I was actually unwell due to fever when i stayed and they offered to take me to the doctor or bring me medication. Really wonderful people. Can't recommend this place highly enough

Google maps was not 100% accurate when we were driving here - had to go a little bit further than what google maps advised. No big issue. We had small to mid size car and it was a little tricky to back into the car park but the father was also there to offer to reverse it in. Bigger cars would be challenged. But no problem at all with car parking.

The villa is located very very close to the town centre near restaurants and bars very close to the castle. Very comfortable rooms very clean.
