How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No elevator if you’re carrying heavy luggage, but it wasn’t a big issue. • The exterior of the building looks a bit old, but the apartment inside is renovated and cozy.
Great location — close to the city center, shops, and cafes, but still peaceful and quiet. • Very clean and well-kept — everything was spotless and tidy. • Fully equipped apartment — fast Wi-Fi, good air conditioning, washing machine, and a functional kitchen. • Comfortable bed — I slept very well. • Friendly and responsive host — communication was smooth and easy. • Nice extra touches like coffee, clean towels, and basic toiletries provided.

The room was a little loud from the street, but we had the window open for fresh air. There is klima. The entrance off the street is not nearly as attractive as the room. But do not judge a book by its cover.
Room was good value, clean and comfortable. Host communicated well.

It has everything you need for a short stay in Shkoder. Comfy bed and modern interior. The host was easy to contact over WhatsApp and could help answer any questions

Clean, renovated apartment that had nice special touches. Lovely renovated bathroom with large shower. King sized bed and plenty of storage space for luggage. Great communication with a friendly host. We were able to do laundry at the apartment and rent bikes from the host. We extended our stay because it was such a lovely apartment.

Must visit this cozy, clean centrally located apartment! The host Antonio is very friendly and very helpful providing best tips for Shkodra making this trip even more great!! Can't wait to come back again in this lovely flat.

Apartment and little alley to the buildings seemed a bit unsecure for us, we were not sure about leaving our car anyways we did park there didn't have any problems luckly. I don't know maybe it is normal for Skoder.
It is brand new place, spotless clean and host was very easy to reach so I am glad we choose this place and he let me pay after the check out trough bank transfer. Location is good walking distance to main street of Skoder.

Where it is isn’t the most lovely part of town, but it is only a few minutes away from it. I think the price reflects this. So it is not really a complaint as such.
Very functional studio apartment. Parking on site. Antonio very responsive and easy to deal with. Could pay by Wise which is very cost effective.

Everything is good and satisfied - cleanliness, facilities, wifi and location. Easy and smooth check-in and check-out process. The host is very friendly and helpful, he helped us to reserve the pick up service with the minibus driver to Theth so that we did not to walk too far to the city center with big backpacks. Recommend :)

Loved our stay, Antonio is wonderful! Very easy check in. Great host and great accomodation really loved the kitchen area and all the nice touches / supplies in the apartment would love to stay again when back in Albania :)

Curtain in the shower is not a favourite for me personally as it touches the skin but it’s okay :)
Smelling so nice and so clean! Comfortable bed, quiet area but very close to the old town streets. Bath essentials for both woman and man.

Nice location, very friendly owner. Kitchen with many different dishes for making food. Strong wi-fi. Large comfortable sofa in the living room. Very clean appartment with everything you need. I had this feeling like i am at my home. Thank you.
