if you are not looking for luxury, the Hotel Floga gives you an excellent value for your money. It has all you need for a stay: Air conditioning - very important in summer - Wifi, TV... It is just 15-20 minutes walk from down town away. The service is excellent and the breakfast outstanding !!

There were some minor issues which were solved thanks to professional people who work in the hotel.I do appreciate such help and support!

The hotel is located perfectly well for both who walks and who drives.It takes just a few minutes to walk to the very city centre.If you drive,the way to the hotel takes over the centre,so you don’t have to waste time in the traffic. There is a private parking just in front of the hotel.It was almost full when l arrive and when l was leaving .I guess it will be better to warn the owner you need parking space to make sure your car is safe. The check-in time is 11 am comparing to 14-15 pm in most places in the city.Check-out time is up to 11 am whereas other places claim up to 10 am. Breakfast is included and it was more than generous.Everything was fresh and sufficient. My room was 306,means l had to walk all the way up as there are no lifts.No problem for me at all,thus for other people might be critical or important.They apologised for having no lift and helped me with my luggage to my room. The hotel also upgraded my room which was very nice of them.I do appreciate such attention to their guests. They speak English and the reception works 24/7.Thank you for hospitality!

Before booking, we had inquired if breakfast was possible at 0630, which they had confirmed. However, when we did need to have breakfast so early (only 1/6 nights at 0645), so as to arrive at work punctually, they negotiated their way out of it. We then grudingly agreed to 7, but breakfast wasn't served until 0710, leaving only 20minutes for us to eat. Generally, breakfast wasn't ready at the agreed time, since the staff waited until all of us were seated and served drinks before the served the eggs/bread. Plan some extra time if you need to leave at a certain time in the morning! Super loud chickens right outside the balcony room on the 3rd floor - the rooster woke me up at 4am every day. Credit card payments are not possible - bring cash!

Kristo was extremely helpful (even though he is still a student, he works at the hotel in the morning and evening) - he was the only one who spoke English. The place was clean and the staff was reasonably friendly. Very patient staff when it came to printing receipts. The breakfast was simple and the same everyday (we didn't take them up on the offer of changing parts of the breakfast, as we always arrived late at night - I'm sure they'd bring some variety to it, if only you asked for it.) It was coffee/tea, orange lemonade, milk, omelette, some tomatoes and cucumbers, Feta cheese, Feta strudel, toasted white bread and loads (!!) of butter and fig jam.

In one of the rooms the bed was rock hard - good for sleep for one night, but definitely wouldn't be pleasant for more nights. In the second room the toilet top desk wasn't staying up, which was a bit annoying, also a glass door was missing in the shower.

Clean and comfortable rooms. We had two similar rooms with a double bed on different floors. The staff was super helpful. We went for a day trip and they allowed us to leave the car in their parking lot before check in. Breakfast was exceptional. All we needed- some fruits, croissants and bread with eggs, cheese pancakes and homemade syrup.

Hotel Floga proved an excellent budget option. The price was good and it had everything I needed for a great stay - a clean simple room with a comfortable bed, hot water, fast Wi-Fi and near-silent air conditioning, plus a solid breakfast. On top of this, the owners - a family, I think - were exceptionally friendly and helpful at all times. I would certainly return.

The fact there was no lift ( not a problem for us ).

The staff were friendly and helpful. We had an air conditioning issue in one room and were offered another room without a problem. The hotel was very clean and well run.

Only one working socket, I had my charger falling out constantly from the rest of them. Also somebody goes to your room and moves your stuff around, as there are no do not disturb signs and that's pretty annoying. Before I left the room I closed the drapes to stop the sunlight (because air-condition is not working properly) and when I came back they were opened. But at least this place is close to center

Staff didn't really speak much English (any of them - I interacted with various workers). Rooms were pretty antiseptic/character-free. While I wouldn't say the hotel is exactly "far" outside of the town, it is a 10-15 minute walk away from anything you'd want to see or do.

Budget accommodation at a reasonable price - the room was big and clean and had a balcony with a view out into the city (although to be fair, Shkodra doesn't have much of a skyline...)

Went in the end of January, My problems were the heating air conditioner in the room not powerful enough to heat the room, and the drastic hot/cold temperatures at the time of taking showers.

Very much appreciated the upgrade of my room, with a wider space and a balcony. Staff was always welcoming and attentive to the needs and very clean hotel.

Room was very clean and big enough for 4 people. Location is perfect: quiet street, 10min walking from the city Center, close to restaurants and supermarkets. Breakfast is very good and portions are big. It is prepared fresh every morning. Really worth the price!

The only stay on my trip where I was not allowed to take my bike into the room - had to demount my whole bike packing setup and then leave the bike downstairs.

Breakfast was great - walking distance also from the center.
