Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgThe beach and promenade are comparingly short and do not connect to the other promenade directly. There was no proper pedestrial walk for a stroller after some time. Even carrying kid and going through sand didnt lead anywhere. It was a bit disappointing how secluded the area was (but more hotels are there around too). The breakfast on sunday (last day) was a bit disappointing too, seemed that onyl the left over food from the previous days was served. We had BB formula and it was good. Once night we took buffet dinner just to get a bit disappointed with the choise. I wild have liked to have theme night for Albania food and culture. Yet it was not a season yet, so they didnt care much, but they charged and tried to implement all the rules as if in the high season. The aerea behind hotel was awful- the acess with google maps gps lead through the back street that was not scenic at all. All construction adn dust and pothotes on the street.
The room was great with a connecting doors inbetween 2 rooms for a family with kids. The side view to the sea was nice, but the direct view to the yard not so nice. Restaurant a la carte was nice and tasty meals but disappointing that not serving wine by glass only per bottle. Access to the beach is direct, and the pool and sauna were nice too. Massage was great. The late checkou at 1pm was appreciated, thank you.

Too expensive for what it offers. Indoor swimming pool was too small and also not deep enough to swim. Food in restaurant was too expensive also poor menu, there are not enough foods to choose, and everything was sea foods, for me that I don't consume sea food there was only one option. Also waitress on the restaurant weren't welcoming, also they don't serve fast, you have to wait for long minutes for the waiter to come and ask you, they speak loud with each other etc. Shortly restaurant staff and they behavior make you feel like it's not a 5 star hotel. On my opinion, lower the price on restaurant, fix the staff and indoor swimming pool, your hotel will be beyond perfect.
Clean and facilities were amazing. Receptionist was amazing, very kind and warm welcoming. She explained everything in details perfectly.

United KingdomI’m sure it’s totally different in the summer but the litter and old furniture washed up and dumped on beaches (not the hotels fault!) made the area seem poor and run down.
My husband and I stayed at Gloria Palace during the off-season, and overall, it was a very comfortable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Amber, the receptionist. Her hospitality and willingness to assist us in planning our stay was really lovely. She provided excellent advice on how to spend our time in Golem and guided us on the hotel spa usage, even accommodating us on that day. They quickly opened it for us, warmed the sauna, and we enjoyed an incredible massage from the in-house masseuse. Our room was really spacious and we had a beautiful sea view. The bed was comfortable, with memory foam mattress and soft pillows. However, we did find the room temperature a little cool, as it never exceeded 18.5°C, despite the gauge indicating it could go up to 27°C. While this wasn't a major issue, a warmer room would have enhanced our comfort. The bathroom amenities were practical but could use some improvement for five star, when you go away for a weekend with hand luggage to a five star you expect most toiletries to be provided. We had an all-in-one shampoo and body wash, but it would have been nice to have conditioner available. (toothbrushes and sewing kits were provided) The chefs and waiting staff in the hotel restaurant were very good, and the prices were very reasonable. The fresh food, particularly the salads, was outstanding. We had informed them of our vegan dietary preferences in advance and was told they would supply an alternative, but upon arrival, we found no dairy-free milk available. However, the staff promptly went to the supermarket to buy almond milk for us, which we greatly appreciated. While vegetarian options were plentiful, the selection for vegans was limited, so this could be improved. The surrounding area was totally dead being off season, but there is a promenade along the beach perfect for long walks. Although the beach had some litter left from the summer months. Taxis are very cheap, €30 to airport.

United KingdomThis is not a 5 star or even 4 star hotel. There were no complimentary toiletries that you would expect. Toilet seat broken on arrival. Room was dated. Poor sound proofing between rooms. Breakfast was disappointing.
Upgraded to suite which was a larger room. The view. Clean. Close to beach.

United KingdomThe buffet options required improvement. Also, having more gluten and fish free options ( properly labelled) would be helpful to food allergy suffers like my daughter who found it difficult to eat there.

NetherlandsAirco makes lot of noise and smells like the sewer, can not bring food or drinks to the room or you will get a 50 euro fine (not very customer friendly). There is no privacy at the balcony, people everywhere. The location is ok for 1 or 2 nights but there are not many good restaurants.

Czech Republic- Running a 5* hotel isn't about slapping a fourth and fifth star on your door. It's about a lot of clear, hard rules and a thousand little things that complete the luxury experience. Here, on the other hand, thousands of little flaws will make you angry. If it was advertised as a 3 max 4* hotel, you would not feel deceived. On the contrary, you will not perceive the shortcomings, you will overlook them or wave your hand over them. But you can't do that with a 5 star hotel. Here are a few examples of shortcomings that bothered me. Room - broken toiletries holder, loose toilet paper holder, one chair ( double room ), loose lamp, no pencil or notepad, no hotel cosmetics except liquid soap in broken dispenser and shower shampoo in dispenser in shower, safe closed. Breakfast: the quality of the food is very low, the choice is very limited. Poor coffee from the machine at breakfast, the size of the cups for tea is the same as for coffee - so small. Lack of tea pot. Plastic stirrers instead of spoons, limited choice of pastries, cheeses, salami and " gourmet experience " is topped off with over-oil butter. The outdoor pool is just for show, there is nowhere to lie down and the water is like ice. Wi-fi on the hotel beach does not work, even though the beach is right in front of the hotel. In truth, she works very badly even in the hotel. Just don't expect a 5* standard here. If you close your eyes and there is an improvement in eating, you can expect an average of 4 stars. I understand that pricing is a tricky thing in an increasingly competitive environment. But it's not a solution to leave the price competitive with a 3 or 4* hotel and just finish off the fifth star. Those who want a 5 star hotel will gladly pay extra for it. But only competition in the form of a global chain can change that. As a final joke, I take the offer made by the front desk to use the indoor spa facilities at 6:00 p.m.

RomaniaWe would have liked a better variety of food for breakfast. It is probably the part that needs the most improving at this location. Also, the spa consists only of a pool and a sauna. It could be bigger.
I loved the staff. Very, very polite and keen to help. The room was very nice. The view was spectacular. The bathroom was also nice. The pool area outside is splendid. I also liked the a la carte restaurant. Very nice choice of food.

RomaniaVery basic breakfast, i would say for a 3 star hotel (same food every day, limited options). Spa is okish ( -1 floor, humid and not good air, cold pool, nice sauna) but not good enough to justify the extra price per night vs a hotel without spa.
The room was great, junior suite, amazing view. Cleaning done daily, the staff very nice and kind.

IrelandWe stayed the last week of April which is early season and we were charged for full breakfast but what we received was of such poor quality we couldn’t eat it. Our friends were staying at the Grand Blue Fafa and got a much better deal for less money.
Staff at reception and cleaning services were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is fresh and clean and in a great location.

United KingdomBeach was not available during our stay end of April - under construction and it was not mentioned prior booking. Breakfast at the opening time was served cold and really bad coffee. Food & drink policy and the way it’s managed was very poor - you are not allowed to bring any food items to the room, which is causing a lot of inconvenience especially traveling with kids. Mini bar was really poor, but at the check out it was checked throughly to ensure none of the drink’s opened - this must be managed more professionally for the 5 star hotel. One of the rooms we had had still water in the minibar, other did not - so we were accused for drinking it at the check out. Just poor overall rules which are making reception staff to have arguments with guests which is just a joke for 5 star hotel

GermanyThe only aspect that struck me as unusual was the fact that the hotel charged for drinking water. It seemed contradictory to their eco-friendly principles to monetize something as essential as water.
The hotel is exceptionally well-maintained, featuring a superbly clean and enjoyable spa. The rooms offer fantastic views and are beautifully appointed. The reception staff are highly attentive and easily accessible for assistance. But when visiting the spa during the off-season, ask about the regulated operating hours to ensure a smooth experience.
