Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe really can't think of anything. Well, the road up there is a bit of an adventure, but that'll change in the coming year
Easy to say: everything! Batjar, Murat, Adela and Leila made us feel like part of the family. The food was amazing and they were very flexible in every way. Thanks again for domino nights, great recommendations and your extremely open & friendly attitude. For everybody who wants something off the main tourism route in the middle of nature, a must! Summed up: come as a guest, leave as a friend!

United KingdomThe location is very rural and a fantastic opportunity to see Albanian countryside and life in the hills. The food was homecooked from local produce - totally delicious. Beds very very comfortable! The family are wonderful hosts and willing to help in any way they can. The journey from the town to the guest house is wonderful (we were picked up in the 4x4 from Berat for a small charge) and the walks are amazing. We are so happy we booked this stay.

CanadaSimply amazing. This was by far our favorite place in Albania. We left the south because it was too noisy and full of people. We ended up at this beautiful and flowery guesthouse, in the middle of the Mont Tomorr park. Batjar and his family are so welcoming and kind. The food was homemade and delicious. The village is very authentic. If you're looking for something different and natural in Albania, this is the best.

United KingdomNothing. It was all perfect
It is hard to fully describe how amazing this stay was. I'll start with the location. It is absolutely perfect for exploring Tomorr National Park and the guesthouse is situated with the most incredible views to look at while relaxing/eating in their garden area. There are very few (if any) other guesthouses within the park so staying here allows you to fully explore without the need for a transfer from Berat everyday. We were able to walk to Sotire waterfall (which we basically had to ourselves), walk to a lake which was also deserted and was so warm to swim in, and you can also hike to the Peak from here (you could not do this from Berat in a day without a transfer). The family that run this guesthouses are what makes this place truly special though. We were welcomed with open arms from the very first moment. They are such a wonderful family who do everything they can to help you, be it drive/walk with you a short way to the start of a hike (sometimes they even accompany you the whole way if needed) or plot out a hiking route (as there are very few recorded trails). The mum is also the most amazing cook and we really felt like we had some proper traiditonal Albanian food while we were there. Not only that but a couple who were staying at the same as us had a birthday and Batjar (the owner) helped arrange balloons and a cake, as well as then bringing out the Albanian music and raki for us all to enjoy and learn some traditional Albanian dances. The room was comfortable even in the summer, the shower was warm, they had fridges where you can buy water, drinks, beer from. A few things to note in terms of logistics that will help anyone else planning on getting here: 1. It's useful to have phone signal so that you can WhatsApp Batjar to arrange a pick up from Berat. There is a secure car park for your car in Berat for the duration of your stay (free but think of the cost of transfer as paying for this too) 2.

Myself and my partner were blown away by the place. The family run place is so friendly and offer pick up from Berat which is needed as there’s not currently a paved road to the property! I loved the authenticity and the quiet peaceful views.. the food is also amazing!

Czech RepublicThis accommodation exceeded our expectations. Beautiful little old village in the mountains. Batjar and his family are very friendly and nice people. Batjat's wife is a really great cook. There are 2 beautiful lakes nearby for swimming. Village inhabitants were very friendly people and although we dont speak albanian, meeting them was amazing. The journey in Batjar's car from Berat to the village was also an amazing experience, because there were many beautiful views of the mountains and countryside and Batjar is a fun companion.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaIt's nice place with warm welcoming owners. Breakfast in the morning was just like at the mountains. If you would like to come I recommend to you to come from Gramsh as from Berat you need to have 4x4 or some car which is higher than the normal one..

BelgiumMain problem is the communication regarding the accessibilty of the place. You must be ready to make 90min of very bumpy road in an old 4X4, pay extra for it - up to 50€ in total (we payed 27€) - and adapt to their timing. We stayed one night and had to leave at 8am. They are not clear about all of this so you should ask them precisions before going. View among the road is really beautiful though. So we think it worth it if you like this kind of adventure and agreed in advance about the cost and the timing. Other inconvenient was the shower: nearly no water and barely warm.
The location is amazing. We could walk a bit to the lake, meet some habitants, feel the life of the village. We couldn't have seen this without going to the guesthouse. The food was fresh and good.
