It was perhaps a bit hard to reach by car, but that shouldn’t be an issue for anyone who has some experience driving in Albania!

The room was small, but extremely clean, modern and has everything you need. The outside area is adorable to sit at. The owner is extremely friendly and helped us out multiple times, even bringing us to a restaurant outside of the city. The breakfast was amazing too, being made by a family member! We felt extremely comfortable here and would definitely consider staying here again!

We didn’t have a car so we walked up the hill- which was quite an effort in the sun- but it was still enjoyable to walk past the local houses and see the fig trees and grape vines. Those who have low fitness levels but want to consider a car or taxi up the hill.

We booked guest house Lani because the reviews were very good and we were not disappointed. We were very grateful for the family’s hospitality as Permat picked us up very early from the bus stop (3am). We woke up to spectacular views of the mountains and city. Zeti is a lovely woman who made a delicious breakfast and is very hospitable. She made our experience 10/10. Other than the hospitality- the room was probably the cleanest accommodation we’ve ever been in and the rooms are well organised with comfortable bathroom, bed, and good air conditioning. The area is out of the busy city centre so we enjoyed the serenity. We worked off the beers walking up and down the hill - which was tough in summer - but worth noticing the local life, walking past the fig trees and grape vines, seeing the donkeys, dogs, and cats. We highly recommend guest house Lani and would visit again!

Lani and Perlat are great hosts! Their breakfast is amazing and the view from their terrace is gorgeous. The room was super clean and comfortable (with AC!), and the bathroom was also really nice. We recommend staying here!

This is a family-run guesthouse with brand new rooms, lovely staff, and excellent homemade breakfast. We felt very well cared for and absolutely loved the homemade food and the little details, like fresh water and toffees, in the room. We also appreciated the welcome snack! Installations were comfortable and the views of the city are incredible. Free parking available. The guesthouse is located in the upper parts of the city, meaning wonderful views, but be aware of the steep drive upwards (perfectly manageable if you go slowly and follow the directions/signs from the guesthouse, not google maps).

Hosts, Perlat and his mother, were extremely friendly and welcoming. Helped with our parking, took luggage to our room, even welcomed us with homemade ice cream. Perlat was always super responsive to all our questions. Room is really nice - new and fully equipped. Comfortable bed, modern bathroom, fridge with beverages and AC. Mountain view from the terrace is stunning. Breakfast was made by Perlat’s mom - they were super delicious and portions were quite big. Everything was perfect!

Typical accommodation with a beautiful view of the mountains. The family Lani welcomed us warmly, as if we were one of them. The room was really clean and we won’t forget the smell of the bed linens and the towels ! The breakfast was served on the little terrace and was homemade, delicious ! Thanks again to these perfect hosts !

Without AC the room can get pretty warm - the AC is there though, and the days we visited Girokaster was hot, out of the ordinary. It's good to know that the road to the guesthouse is very steep!

We liked the location, outside of the hectic historical center, with beautiful view of the mountains arounds. The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfy. All was sparkling clean. Great breakfast prepared by the loving mother. She doesn't speak any English (you normally talk / text with the son) but she is trying to connect with you anyway. Very welcoming :) The fact that they have a garage was a big plus!

We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it. The host was very responsive and we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything was very clean, food was handmade and the mum of the host made us feel at home.

We liked everything

From the moment we arrived we were treated with such care. Our accomodation was first class with beautiful fittings and little extras to make it comfortable. The garden and views are breath-taking and our breakfast was amazing thanks to the lady of the house.. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home. We were sad to leave but chalk it down as one of our happy memories.
