The accomodation has a very nice bar above the river and sun beds and umbrellas free of charge. The breakfast was delicious. They helped to organise the boat trip from Koman.

The staff here are fantastic. We really enjoyed the service and attention. The location is great and we loved the sun beds to spend the day. They have clear instructions and helped to figure out the boat transportation.

absolutely amazing stay and could not recommend higher !!! the family who run it are all so kind and accommodating, the power went out for the whole area a few times during our stay and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. the location was perfect and the guesthouse restaurant had the cheapest food out of all the other places around. free lounge chairs out the front of the guesthouse and free breakfast was amazing- they didn’t hold back on serving sizes and was delicious. highly highly recommend

During the trip in lake where some plastic bottles which is not responsibility of them. Government should work more to punish those who are throwing bottles in the lake.

A good family is running this guesthouse. If you give them a opportunity to communicate with you, you will feel like you are taking to some that you have known for years. Rooms are clean and spacious. Food in restaurant is tasty and cheaper than others around.

Set in the most stunning scenery and great value for money. The transport from Komani ferry port is all organised by the guesthouse, so couldn't be more straightforward. We stayed 2 nights which was perfect. Staff were really friendly and the room was a great size!

We loved our stay at Guesthouse Zgiboza. The most perfect location, definitely recommend staying here when you go to Shala river. There are sun-beds to lie on and kayaks to rent and the breakfast was good too

The walk from the boat drop off point to the accommodation was quite far to carry suitcases (couldn’t drag them due to the rocks) so I would recommend only bringing a backpack.

Location was unique, fun to kayak around. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was nice! And the room was clean and cool as it was shaded (no AC but we didn’t need it as the fan was enough). Staying overnight was great as the day trippers leave so the whole area was quiet in the evening/morning.

The guesthouse was lovely, the rooms as shown in the pictures and extremely clean. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great, lots of food. The bar area is lovely to sit and have a drink. Overall would recommend and would stay again.

This accommodation exceeded expectations as it was extremely reasonably priced as well as absolutely stunning a very authentic property right on the river. We were welcomed by a lovely man who helped with our stuff from the boat trip all the way to the hotel room. The views from our room of the river were absolutely incredible and we were kitted out with all of the amenities, a fan etc which was very needed in the lovely warm Albanian weather! Staying at this property was great as we were further down from the boat stop and therefore the busier spots so it was always lovely and quiet here. On that note the property were extremely helpful when it came to booking the boat to the property and we were able to book this in advance and the entire process was extremely smooth, we then paid for our return boat trip at the property. I would say along with most areas in Albania you should make sure you have enough cash as most places only expect cash or very much prefer it and I’m not sure if there were any ATM’s at this destination so make sure you have enough to pay for the boat, the stay and any food etc. The food was great and the free breakfast was delicious with very generous portions (the beer was also lovely and cold). The surrounding area was ideal as you were able to walk along to other restaurants for drinks and food where we had some Aperols on the riverside as well as delicious Greek salads etc. Overall vibes at hotel zgiboza were very special and me and my boyfriend will remember this place for a very long time and would recommend making this stop to anyone visiting Albania.

The staff were so warm and welcoming. We felt so at home. The place is exactly as shown in the photos, a homely cabin style. But everything was lovely and clean with everything you could want while in paradise. The Guesthouse was about 200m further up the river from the majority of the other accommodations which meant the water right outside Zgiboza was SUPER clear and ever so slightly more private. I think it was the best situated of all the cabins on the lake.
