The accomodation has a very nice bar above the river and sun beds and umbrellas free of charge. The breakfast was delicious. They helped to organise the boat trip from Koman.

The staff here are fantastic. We really enjoyed the service and attention. The location is great and we loved the sun beds to spend the day. They have clear instructions and helped to figure out the boat transportation.

Fantastic hospitality from Lule and his family/friends that work here. This was a phenomenal experience, staying at Sgiboza, on the Shala river. The location is just exceptional and the facilities and surrounding areas are a dream!

The people were amazing and they couldn’t do enough to help. It’s fantastic location.

The only downside is there is no Aircon so it is pretty uncomfortable in the night

    Property response:

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found our team helpful and the location fantastic. Regarding the air conditioning – we completely understand your concern. Due to the traditional wooden structure of our home and the unique location, we prioritize safety above all. Since we’re only accessible by boat, in the unlikely event of an electrical issue, emergency services would have difficulty reaching us in time. That’s why we choose to use fans, as they are not connected directly to the walls and greatly reduce any fire risk. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we’d love to welcome you back in the future – perhaps in one of our other accommodations that may better suit your preferences. Warm regards, Guesthouse Zgiboza

The true magic of this place comes from the people. Before you even know what you need, they’re already one step ahead, ready to help with a smile. Add to that a beautiful setting, delicious, fresh food, and clean, comfortable rooms, and you’ve got something really special. The viewpoint with breathtaking views of the water and mountains is just a 30-minute walk away. Families with children will appreciate the peacefulness at night, perfect for little ones falling asleep. If you’re visiting with friends, there’s a cozy bonfire and a bar to enjoy. In front of the guesthouse, sun loungers invite you to relax in the shade while sipping drinks from the bar. Absolutely wonderful – a place that feels like home, but better!

A good family is running this guesthouse. If you give them a opportunity to communicate with you, you will feel like you are taking to some that you have known for years. Rooms are clean and spacious. Food in restaurant is tasty and cheaper than others around.

During the trip in lake where some plastic bottles which is not responsibility of them. Government should work more to punish those who are throwing bottles in the lake.

Good location amongst all the guesthouses on the river. The hosts were friendly. Room was comfortable, clean and tidy.

Wifi wasn’t fabulous but I think that’s likely an issue with all guesthouses in the area given how remote it is.

Set in the most stunning scenery and great value for money. The transport from Komani ferry port is all organised by the guesthouse, so couldn't be more straightforward. We stayed 2 nights which was perfect. Staff were really friendly and the room was a great size!

We loved our stay at Guesthouse Zgiboza. The most perfect location, definitely recommend staying here when you go to Shala river. There are sun-beds to lie on and kayaks to rent and the breakfast was good too
