How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe rooms are new and pretty, with the best air condition system we found in the whole trip. The rooms are cleaned daily and they also change the bedding and towels daily, even if we stayed just two nights. The family is really nice and helpful, we really enjoyed chatting with them.
For me, but this could be my fault, when I see the title guest house I assume it’s a shared apartment, so this was a little misleading since is more like a bed and breakfast, it’s a big building with many rooms and different floors so not much like an apartment, and also you can’t use the kitchen. But besides this everything was wonderful.

Verified reviewWe got lost in the city, so a person we asked knew the landlord, called him and he found us :) He told us a lot about the country, the history and the place itself, so it was easy for us to find beautiful places. A lot of people there know each other and are very friendly and happy to help! Rrofsh!!! :)
We would recommend some pictures on the walls, it will give the place even somthing more speacial.

Guesthouse is situated in the middle of nowhere, no pavement, no normal roat to get there by car. Walking to the beach through dirty streets without proper sidewalks is something. Near the beach for sure everything is fine, but to get there..parking place not very comfortable, cars are parked one before another in line and to move out you have to disturb 1-2 guests to let you drive. They have washing machine in the guesthouse, but you could not use it or even pay for laundry service (it was weird, I have asked twice but don’t know why). No english knowledge AT ALL on the reception, you’re just trying to explain something with fingers and translator. And once we checked in, I wrote to the host in 2 hours, so it was pretty in advance that we want to move out in 2 days instead of 6, could we have a refund, at least a part of it - answer was strict no “I don’t want to pick money out of my pocket”.

When you make booking and you arrive at the Guesthouse and payment is taken we can’t refund unfortunately this is for everyone if you paid through booking, com they won’t refund you money. For the dirty streets unfortunately we not in charge of that our priority is our Guesthouse. For Laundry we don’t do for anyone so if we did for you that means we need to say yes to everybody else. Verified reviewEverything was on the high level. Rosh , the owner of the guesthouse and his family are the best people I ever met ❤️ They are open hearted, lovely and help us with everything. He was waiting for us at the airport at night for 3 hours because our plane delayed for 6 hours . The breakfast was delicious Rosh'as mom and wife do that by themselves. We had everything we needed. This family is always smiley. We were like at home. If you go to Albania this is the best choice to stay at Haka guesthouse 🥰 We definitely recommend this place. Hope to come back and see them again.
Its impossible not to like something at this house.

Verified reviewYou’re greeted as a family member to the house. The rooms are spacious and with good standards. It’s situated a short walk from the beach with restaurants etc. The breakfast is superb, 95% of everything on the plate is local produce from their own garden. Can not recommend this enough!! Great place!
