Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryThe manager speaks english and italian. He was mostly there all the time, but sometimes his parents was at the reception but they don't speak any english, not even a word. They were in service, check in was a little chaotic, we couldn't understand each other. They called their son and gave me the phone to talk to him. We couldn't pay by card, he told me the terminal is not working today due to internet problems, but I doubt that (but after the torture at the check in, I didn't have the energy to deal with it). I have noticed in whole Albania they don't like card payments because of the high transaction fees. (But here is my advice: build in the transaction fee in the price. In one of the restaurants they told us card payment is +1.5% and we were totally fine with that.) In the end we paid in cash. Parking was not a garage, but an opened private parking with gate, next to the hotel. For the gate we had to ask someone on the reception to open the gate every time we wanted to move in or out. The cleaners were overly enthusiastic. After our 1st night, the next morning they wanted to change our towels. Not to mention they don't speak english as well, so it was an awkard activity game. Since we couldn't understand each other, I just gave in and handed them the towels (in my opinion it was unnecessary, after 1 night). But later during the day they even cleaned our full room (bathroom, even took out the grain grate). Also totally unnecessary after one night, but I was like ok.. However, what is completely inappropriate and not customary in hotels is for them to touch your clothes, your belongings, tidy up the entire room, and rearrange your things. The rooms have poor noise filtering. The next room there was a family with little children, we were listening to loud crying for loooong minutes in the eveing. Bathroom had mirror with built in lights, but it wasn't connected. The toilet bowl was poorly mounted and wobbly.
It's a family hotel on the main street, on the beach. I'd say in the middle to both ways. The owner/manager speaks english and italian (if I heard right). Balcony was good with 2 chairs and a table. Room was clean, it had safe, hair dryer, a well cooling fridge. Bathroom was kinda ok. Very good location. Ideal for a few nights for a couple. It's on the main street, next to bars and restaurants everywhere. The beach is about 100m, you just need to cross the street. Beach and tourist streets were clean. If you walk 5-10 minutes, there are a lot of shops, markets. The quality/price ratio was awesome. Totally recommend this city and this hotel. This city has much more than it seems. If you are an adventurer, go for a walk to Plazhi Bovës and the surrounding forest, you even find some abandoned bunkers. Recommend this hotel for a few nights, but you can read my concerns in the negativity section.

AlbaniaI recently had a very frustrating experience with Harris Hotel that left a lasting negative impression. I had booked two rooms at the hotel, and when I made the reservation, the rooms were clearly marked as AVAILABLE. Everything seemed to be in order. However, upon arrival, I was shocked to find out that the hotel had CANCELED our reservation without any prior notice or explanation. What made this even worse was that the property never informed us of the cancellation . We only discovered this when we arrived.Instead, we were left stranded with no place to stay. To add to the stress, this happened during peak tourism season, making it nearly impossible to find alternative accommodations. The area was fully booked, and the prices for any remaining options were exorbitantly high. We spent hours frantically searching for a new place to stay, but options were either unavailable or far beyond our budget. This experience was not just inconvenient—it was unacceptable. The lack of communication from Harris Hotel and the careless handling of our reservation left us scrambling at the last minute. I wouldn’t recommend trusting them with any future bookings, especially during busy travel periods.

North MacedoniaWe booked 2 rooms. 1 room was right above the kitchen and all the ventilation fumes were coming in the room, and the room was small. The other room was ok but was in another residential building right next to the hotel. We asked for money back for the 1st room, but they didn't returned the money.

GermanyThe room was big enough but the kitchen and especially the bathroom weren't clean. The water in the shower stayed on the ground because it didn't drain much. There is no breakfast buffet, the breakfast is served by the owners of the hotel. But it seemed like they don't like to do that, we had the feeling that we aren't welcomed there. The older woman accused us one day of leaving and sleeping with trash. There were only empty plastic water bottles in the bag, we never cooked or ate in the kitchen or in the room at all. For the high price (780€) we expected at least a clean bathroom and an welcoming attitude but we didn't get that which is very sad since we never had problems with any hotel we've ever been.
The location is perfect, near the beach, everything you need you can reach by feet. We had a problem with the shower head but it was fixed very quickly. Everytime we asked for something (like toilett paper) we got it.

SwedenVisiting from Sweden, my first impression was bad the room was old and didn't look like the pictures online and it looks more like a motel. There was an old lady who stopped us from going to our room and she was very disrespectful she treated us like we were thieves and she didn't let us go to our room until we showed our key. There is just one person who speaks English in this place so it is really hard to communicate with them. This place is not very safe someone tried to enter our room and it was scary. There was a lot of insects in the room and there was a wired noise coming from the holes in the wooden table, that noise was pretty annoying when I was trying to sleep and I'm not really sure what it was in the holes maybe some kind of insect or bug. Overall all this place is very expensive if you compare it to the other fancy hotel in albania and it is not worth it living and sleeping in the same room as incest and be treatedlike a thiev. If you are a tourist and are considering staying in this place do not because there are a lot of fancy hotels in vlore for the same price or even cheaper this is the wort place I have been in. In this place you are also going to be treated with disrespect and I was treated like a thiev in my first day. I wrote this review to help tourists visiting please consider other options before booking here and don't waste your time and money here.
