I think the price is a little expensive. The location was okay. It's not near the beach area but just 10 min walk. Just not ideal for female solo travelers if going back alone at night time. The toilets and baths are downstairs. It would have been nice if there is atleast one in the room.

The breakfast was simple but good. The volunteers were nice and friendly! The bed was comfortable and i like that it has a bit of privacy, i was just hoping it has the curtain so it's completely private.

Hostel’s garden and common space. The staffs are so helpful and kind. They seem to enjoy working at the hostel. I love their hospitality and vibe. That made me so relaxed.

I truly have no complaints! Everything was clean and accessible and the staff was so sweet and accommodating!

Himare Hostel was absolutely gorgeous and charming! The mornings were filled with quiet conversation and the evenings were for music and good company. I stayed in the mixed dormitory which had air conditioning and warm water for the showers. It was very clean and had many sweet pets, one of which even walked with me to town!

I was very satisfied with my stay at the hostel in Himara. The hostel was clean and comfortable, and I stayed in a tent that was fully equipped and cozy. Everything was well-organized and easy to use. The service and atmosphere were excellent – everything was TOP! I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Himara.

Great hostel in Himare and probably the best in Albania! The staff is the kindest ever, they make you feel at home since you step in! The hostel have an amazing toilets, kitchen and peaceful location. The rooms are spacious and clean, the common areas are amazing, the location is perfect and the atmosphere great

Staying at Himara Hostel was truly a pleasure. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help or share a story. The atmosphere was warm and social – it was easy to meet other guests, and everyone was kind and respectful. A perfect place to relax, connect, and enjoy the beauty of Himara. Highly recommended!

The rooms got very warm at night and it didn’t seem like it did any events which was fine for me but others seemed disappointed.

Lovely outdoor area and the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The animals were also a plus.

Everything was fantastic, however I would have liked there to be privacy curtains on the bunk beds.

Loved the breakfast included. The vibe was great at this hostel - so much so, that I came back! Lovely staff working there. Huge outdoor space, which was perfect to work.

During my stay there was a family with 2 young children who were very loud. Management was somewhat disorganised, as no information was provided prior to arrival, and thus I wasn't informed that payment had to be made in cash. Walk to the hostel was a little bit sketchy at night, otherwise fine during the day.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Friendly social vibe in the common area without being a 'party' hostel, which was lovely to meet other travellers. Located about a 1km walk from beach.

A little further from the beach than anticipated, but it was no issue for me. I like the walk. Seemed to have mosquitoes so just make sure you bring spray.

Spacious, calming, and full of life, perfect for morning coffee, card games, or a quiet moment with a book. One of the most beautiful aspects was the feeling of safety. Guests casually left belongings out in the open: phones, books, bags, and not once did it feel risky. There’s something powerful about a place that fosters that level of trust. The beds offer privacy, which is often a luxury in shared accommodations. Free towels, free umbrellas, and an easygoing breakfast: simple, satisfying, and just enough to start your day. Quiet hours were genuinely respected, making it easy to rest or unwind in peace. But what truly made this stay unforgettable? The volunteers were the soul of the place. Warm, present, and effortlessly kind. They weren’t just there to help: they were there to connect. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was part of something shared. Whether it was a spontaneous card game, a quiet movie night, or a short talk over coffee, there was always space for real, human interaction. This wasn’t just a stay. It was a soft landing. Basic breakfast would be nice if there was fruit included. Small private room with no shelves for clothes or bags. No aircon but there is a ceiling fan.

We stayed in the private room with a shared bathroom. It’s a positive that you only share the bathroom with one other private room. You can do washing at the property for 600 Lek. Nice common areas. Short walk to the beach.

The bed was a little uncomfortable and I didn't feel like the blanket provided did much to help. When I went there were only two showers/toilets, so if it's a crowded night you might have to wait in line.

I stayed for 4 nights in the summer And it was the perfect place to unwind for a while. Come here if you want to relax but still be social - common area is a great place to meet fellow travelers if you're ever lonley, and the garden is perfect for some quiet alone time. Relaxed check in hours, very close to bus station and the main city beach.
