How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Just a heads up that there is quite a sharp turn to get the driveway if driving. Not an issue but worth noting.
The property was well looked after and run by very kind and helpful people. It is well located from the main beach and area of Himarë but also based not far from other spots if you wanted to drive to different beaches.

Was a little further from the town than I had imagined. It’s up hill and about 10min walk to the beach. Doesn’t sound like much but in sunny 40degree weather it’s something to consider.
Wonderful, clean, modern property. Great balcony and room.

Clean room and a very nice place to stay during holiday. The staf were very polite and very welcoming during our stay . The room and the kitchen were very clean and also we had all we needed during the stay . Very close to the center .

Gorgeous family run apartments, room was modern, clean and made for a very enjoyable stay. The host was very friendly and helpful, he even drove us to the bus stop as we had a lot of bags to carry in the heat! Would recommend staying here

The apartment was new, clean and the location was perfect. Close to the city but at a more quiet location which we liked a lot. Also, there was available space to park your car, which was very convenient. We had perfect communication with the host, which we really appreciated.

The road up to the place is a little rough, but looks like it's being worked on!
Great place, super clean and a massive balcony that's really quiet in the evenings, away from the crowds in town. The kittens were the best!

Ion’s room was definitely my favorite stay out of the four accommodations we had in Albania! From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The host was incredibly sweet, helpful, and friendly. He went out of his way to help us with our luggage and even shared a thoughtful list of recommendations for local spots and beautiful beaches, which made our trip even more special. The apartment itself is absolutely stunning—super clean, beautifully maintained, and with breathtaking views. It had such a cozy, homely feel that made us instantly comfortable. Honestly, the level of cleanliness was the best I’ve ever witnessed in all my travels. Every detail was spotless and taken care of with such care. If you're looking for a perfect place to stay in Himare, Ion’s room is it. Highly, highly recommended!

Great room and facilities. Everything was extremely modern and clean. The rooms had a great design and were up to standard with good beds, shower and aircon. Also our balcony was great and had a really nice view of the mountains. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly and attended to all our needs. Great location as well as it is only a 8 minute walk to town.

Beautiful, modern, clean room. The shower was absolutely gorgeous, as was the balcony & the view. The walk up is quite hot in the afternoon, so stop off at the little cafe to grab a juice or something beforehand. It’s not long but after traveling :) the ac didn’t work very well when I arrived, but the guy helped me to fix it and then had the technician come around. Really impressed with how easy it was to communicate and how helpful he was! Thank you for the stay, I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Himare :)

Decent walk up a steep hill.
The property was so beautiful and was our favorite stay in Himare. The property owner is so friendly, and even offered to drive us to our next stay! Great place, and I’d recommend staying here to anyone.

The road to get up there not the best but not a big deal.
Clean, modern and quiet. The hosts friendly and welcoming. On departure date, I was allowed to leave my car parked there for many hours.

One of our favourite places where we stayed in Albania. Beautiful new room, very clean and lovely people. We loved the location. Right outside the centre and a little walk up a hill (5min).

All was just perfect!
This little gem is just perfect to explore the region. it's a 5 min walk to the beach front or the restaurants so you can conveniently leave your car at the hotel. The staff made us feel very welcome and provided us with some tips for the area. The room was spotless clean and was really beautiful. We had a fridge, airco, great shower and good beds. I can really recommend this location.

Very good room. Good smell as your enter the building, room very clean, the best shower we had at Albania. Even the details regarding coffee and water were great. Nice balcony and quiet zone to get a good rest. Better than a 4 star hotel we stayed the night before
