Friendly staff, great location, simple, clean, has everything you need! I would recommend it to anyone staying a night or two in Gjirokaster. Parking at the modern covered car park nearby was perfect, just 5 seconds from the hotel door.

Three generations of lovely ladies run this beautiful, traditional Hotel in Gjirokaster. They were the perfect hosts. The location is perfect, just steps away from the heart of the town and in a lovely tranquil location. The family room was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

The owner was incredibly attentive. For example, he hurried upstairs when he heard us trying to bring our cases down and then took them all the way to the car park for us.

Room with a/c and renovated bathroom, mini frigo also available at the room. No elevator and difficult access (very difficult to reach by car). Very good breakfast with multiple options and local products. Located near the city center (old bazaar and cold war tunnel)

Well located. easy parking for those driving which is a premium in Gjirokastor. Directly connected to the village center, but a bit of a climb, as is all of the village.

We had an excellent stay. A very warm welcome from the staff and owner. The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of the old bizar. Beautifully restored to its original condition.The view of the mountains from our room was stunning. Parking was next to the hotel. We had a peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. The shower was powerful and included shower gel, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. We loved everything about Gjirokester and so glad we came while on a road trip in Albania. I would definitely recommend Kastro Hotel and would definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Everything was just perfect. The only regret we had was not staying a bit longer both at the hotel and in Gjirokaster.

Wonderful little establishment, right in the middle of beautiful Gjirokaster. We enjoyed our short stay there very much. The room was super clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom too. In the morning a buffet breakfast of a very good variety was offered with outside seating on a very nice terrace. And to top it all, the hosts and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. A clear 10/10 from us.

One suggestion we can make is to have more tables and chairs on the terrace for the breakfast time.

Clean, modern, luxurious rooms with excellent aircon and WiFi. Delicious breakfast with continental and Albanian options. This is in a perfect location next to the bazaar and with easy access and parking. The owners of the hotel were amazing, they welcomed our family, and helped us when we had an accident. I would visit Albania again just to stay with Hotel Kastro. I can't recommend highly enough.
