How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe hotel room was big, spacious and had a very nice big balcony with the sea view. Staff was very friendly. Also the breakfast was very good, even tho it was basic and not a lot of varietys.
The hotel was very uphill and the road was very narrow. Also it was very far from the city center. But cafes and restaurants are near just down the road. I would suggest to the hotel that they should invvest on their bathrooms at least in shower curtains. If you took a shower the water would be all around the floor. Also to add additional pillows in every room. I am pregnant i asked for additional pillows for confort, but they said they did not have any left with the excuse they sent them to the laundry. Also the lights in the balcony won’t go off, so when i tried to close the blinds, theh were broken and did not close.

Verified reviewFriendly staff, big and clean room, comfortable beds, great breakfast, having a small kitchen was a bonus. We loved having car parked by the hotel, all the rest (beach, bars, restaurants, shops…) were walking distance from the hotel. We would definitely come back!
It’s just a suggestion to the owner: there’s nothing to dry swimsuits and towels. We used chairs on the balcony…

No parking, although they are saying there is a private parking. Breakfast was poor. They charged extra for the coffee. The room is nice but the air-conditioned is not good enough. They refused to give 2 room cards. The location is far from the center. We went out and didn't have parking when we returned. They offered to block other car, and in the morning, woke me up to remove the car.

The breakfast was cold most of the days, 4 out of 5 days we stayed for we did not have hot water, the shower had was broken, the glasses in the room were dirty(there was melted sugar at the end of one glass), when they changed or towels, one of the towels had brown stains, there were ants in the balcony and later saw a few inside as well.

Verified reviewThe staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was clean, and the room was adequate. The hotel is in a quiet area, away from the noise of the city centre, yet all the attractions are a short ride away.
The furniture in the room was too bulky, so it was hard to move in it. The kettle plug had to be pressed into the socket till the water boiled, or else it won't work. Also, there were no tissues in the room, except for the toilet paper, which is something I've noticed in all the hotels I stayed at in Albania.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the start. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from, there was something for everyone. The staff and the people who welcomed us were incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a really positive experience, and we would definitely come back again!

Firstly, it wasn’t really clean there. Our breakfast was always cold. No matter what time we came there it was cold, but the taste of the breakfast was fine. We kept catching strange staring at us. The location was so bad. It was around construction and more than one. It was far away from the city. Nobody does not specify about any of this. Secondly, the room was in dust. The bathroom was without borders and not really clean as well. The kitchen facilities wasn’t nice either. Finally no shops around. You had to walk and if you wanted to go to the city you had to walk for an hour

We feel sorry that you have not enjoyed the stay at our hotel as we tried to provide the best amenities and service that we can. Moreover, we feel that the words you have choosen to describe the stay at the property have been sided towards the unfair judging by the fact that most of the things mentioned are different from reality! The hotel has been operating for some years as it was constructed just a few years ago and we have tried with all our best to maintain the reality of our facilities by uploading real photos of all our rooms, areas and amenities. In addition to this, we try to maintain an excellent service for our guests and provide a wonderful experience by being there for them even if there is any inconvenience after something is expressed by the guest. The buffet we have added this year is completely new with the newest accessories in order to maintain temperature of the foods and the original taste! Regarding the location and other area details are all shown in the website with exact distance for each destination so it is up to you to check all the information before deciding to make a reservation! We have to make known for everyone reading this review that we totally understand that the words chosen to describe the property may have been actually driven by the emotions of the moment after our staff declined your request to leave the hotel and to cancel the reservation with no penalty and to receive a full refund after half day stay because you did not like the location of the hotel. In this case, expressing your opinion for the hotel to our staff before staying in the room would have been more honest than avenging the staff with a review of this kind because until the moment your request was declined everything seemed to be excellent. Of course our staff has to follow hotel policies regarding payments and cancellations so requests against hotel rules cannot be accepted. We value your opinion and we are looking forward to make our service better by reflecting on our guest's opinion. Best regards

Verified reviewI had a wonderful stay at Keos Hotel in Sarandë this weekend. The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city to truly relax. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was generous and satisfying. What stood out most was the staff: incredibly welcoming, always helpful, and full of positive energy. They went out of their way to assist with anything we needed, and most importantly, they did it all with a genuine smile.
