Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandSilent place to get a good rest. The rooms situated in a beautiful picturesque area with astonishing view on the mountains, city and the castle from a very nice terrace. The host was very helpful and communicative.

ItalyI genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience during my stay in Gjirokaster. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The hosts were incredibly kind and genuinely invested in making sure I was comfortable. The room was spotless. The entire property was well maintained and peaceful and it was surrounded by beautiful views. Waking up and stepping outside to take in the scenery was so worthy. It felt like a perfect escape. And the food, wow. Homemade and clearly made with love. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying. I also had dinner there and I loved it. There’s a sincerity to this place that you don’t find everywhere. I would return in a heartbeat.

BelgiumAbsolutely loved my stay at this guest house! From the moment I arrived, the hosts were incredibly warm, truly some of the kindest people I’ve met while traveling. I had some unexpected car trouble when I got there, and they didn’t hesitate to help me out. They even gave me some great suggestions for activities in the area. The property itself is beautiful and has parking, which was a big relief considering the roads in the area are quite steep. My room was really clean and spacious, and had such charming traditional details that made it feel extra cozy. One of my favorite parts of the stay was just sitting on the balcony or the terrace and taking in the views. I also took part in the cooking class they offer, and it was such a fun experience. It felt like being part of the family. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. But the dinner was something else!!! The grandma cooks dinner and I would suggest you tell them beforehand because they prepared everything on the spot and it was some of the best food i’ve ever tried. All in all, it was a perfect stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

AlbaniaThe only bad thing was that we wished we had stayed here for a few more days, but we will definitely come back a second time for a longer stay!
Our stay in Gjirokastër was amazing and it turned out even better because of the hospitality of this guesthouse we stayed in. It felt like being home and taken care of. Firstly, to get there, you can easily search the location in Google Maps and there are also signs on the streets for better direction. They also send you a video on how to get there. There is also a bus that takes you, and it costs only €0.30. The house had a warm atmosphere and i loved that the rooms were a mix of stone and wood and had a lot of traditional details. The rooms are really clean and spacious as well. They also provide laundry for your personal belongings for an extra fee of only €3. One of the highlights was definitely the terrace , with a breathtaking view of the castle and the town, where you can eat traditional homemade food. We ate there breakfast and dinner, and the food was cooked by their grandma. I hadn’t eaten food that good in a long time. I totally suggest it. The grandchild there took us to the Ali Pasha Bridge and also for a little hike. The house is surrounded by mountains, and you can go hiking there as well. Another part of the experience that we enjoyed and thought was really special was the traditional cooking class offered by the host. We got to learn how to prepare authentic local dishes, and after cooking, we all sat down to enjoy the meal together. I fully recommend this place because they will do everything to help you and make you feel comfortable.
