How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewA place with heart&soul&views, perfect for all nature, hiking and mountain lovers. The host Sylvia is a lovely, warm person, she gave us many great recommendations and local tips for our stay. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding, all prepared with fresh and local ingredients. The rooms are comfortable and very clean and there is a nice outdoor space to chill after hiking. Nearby there is a natural pool we called *magic eye*, it couldn’t be better. We would come back anytime!

Verified reviewNice quiet little spot near the end of the Theth/Valbone trail. Very clean. Sylvia is very friendly and helpful. I dont understand why some of the other reviewers said they had problems with her, but I suspect that the problem lay with a lack of sensitivity from them rather than Sylvia. The food was probably the tastiest we had in Albania, delicious trout. Accommodation is more expensive in Theth than other towns, but this place was worth it.

Verified reviewLovely peaceful location, with hammocks to lie in in the afternoon sun. Super friendly lady who runs it, who creates a super welcoming atmosphere. Food was great and got a lunch to take away with us for our day walking that was spot on. LOVED the chocolate pancake!!

This property is inaccessible unless you have a 4*4. Best to park in Theth and walk up to the property else you face an impossible rally drive.

Wifi doesn't work in the rooms, just in the common area, and the signal is weak. No AC in he rooms - keep that in mind while booking - it gets really hot at night.

I am extremely honest with you I don’t have power and control for those things and it’s not my business to enter in those chapters! Verified reviewVery quiet and beautiful location. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is good. Good place to start some hikes. Please Note: it is nearly impossible to enter the location by normal car. But there is a free parking near the bridge and a short 20min walk to the location.

The host and the property has not any connection with anyone from Albanian elite , government and members of any political ideology to survive in this land ! Dear , we truly apologize for the road , as diaspora citizens we are here for you in the most wonderful level our host raised in the hospitality outside of this country! The meaning of Magic Space is a circle Where people loved -love to live and to build ,also people outside of that circle love to be in that level of feelings and to build all together! The road doesn’t represent the meaning of Magic Space because it’s outside of the value of the family but it’s part of suffering people who deside to leave the land during the 90’s with the law of freedom in that period time of system! Verified reviewThis guesthouse was in a great location close to valbone to theth trail and 15 minute walk to the town using the shortcut across the river which the host explained to us. She was very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, as was dinner and we also had a small picnic which was nice to take with us on a day hike. When we arrived the host explained that there had been a mix up with our booking however she was very accommodating and even gave us a discount off our booking.
The room that we had had basic amenities and was clean but the bathroom had a smell ?it was coming from the bathroom drain, it was absolutely putrid and unless we shut the bathroom door and kept the fan on, it made the whole room smell. This was not the end of the world to us as we weren’t there much but is something that should be addressed as it was not pleasant to use the bathroom or come home to. There was very poor drainage in the bathroom and water went everywhere when showering. There was also nowhere to hang the bathmat that was provided to soak up the water so it stayed wet the whole time further adding to the stench

Verified reviewThe place is located right by the Theth-Valbona trail, so it was easy to access it. Plus, it was very quiet and peaceful there. The host was very friendly and welcoming, she even went above and beyond to acommodate our needs, picked us up at the village and helped us get back there to our car, and offered us dinner on the day of our arrival.
One evening and morning there was some trouble with the electricity – it was on and off for some time.
Thank you for being part of Magic Space We truly apologise for the electricity, the host is in the same page with all of you and she totally understands She is there about the memory of her brother , and it’s the only important thing in her life and the story of two incredible parents who they support all the roots of Shkaf! And their friends as used to be as illegal immigrants in another place and being there also for members of family ! Also for the memory of a child who he used to fight the racism between nationalities until the last day of his life! The electricity is part of the life style here Some properties have connections with government and everything going in higher level 🤭 Others properties of 5 starts create connections with elite of media in Albania, so that’s part of life style and to others they destroyed their houses 💔 We truly apologize for things we don’t know or things are not in our power !
