Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

KosovoThe room was very small, hard to move inside. A little bit noisy during the night due to the night bars close to the hotel.
Breakfast was very good, wide choice, excellent service. Hotel has suitable location, close to the center, in walking distance. We where lucky to have parking in front of the hotel. Bathroom of the room is comfortable.

United KingdomThe bathroom. The toilet seat was wobbly and didn't fit the toilet(too small), the shower had brown mould/mildew all over the corners and edges, there was hardly any toilet paper. There was no coffee for the coffee machine the room(but to be fair, the staff did offer to bring us coffee from the restaurant). Cheaper hotels have at least offered bottled water in the fridge(a neccessity in Albania, where the tapwater is generally not recommended/safe to drink). The door handle fell off. The balcony with "city view" was of the rear walls of an apartment block...kind of expected better for the upgraded room. Basically fine, but a few gripes. This would rank as a cheapish 2-3 star hotel in most other cities.
Location was great, quiet side street next to various embassies, cultural institutes etc, in the heart of Blokku/Central Tirana - you can literally see the Pyramid from the hotel - but still fairly peaceful. The glass of prosecco and inclusive breakfast in the morning were nice touches. The bed was comfortable and the room a decent size. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe room and bathroom were clean but decor did feel a bit tired- for example stains on the velvet headboard and ottoman. Still a pleasant place to stay. I believe our balcony was shared which wasn’t stated on the booking. I walked along the balcony and was very surprised to see directly into someone else’s room as they had their curtains open. I didn’t hang around to see whether they had access to the balcony but I presume they did, and even if not it then felt odd for me to use the balcony and be right outside their room. The lock on the door to the balcony was also partially broken so didn’t feel super secure.
Friendly staff. Room was very spacious. Large, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Great location- short walk to explore Tirana.

SingaporeThe parking around the property is a nightmare. Would recommend the travellers to take a taxi to the property instead. Property is not so disabled friendly as there are a lot of stairs.
Good vicinity and you can walk around the town of Tirana. Easy accessibility. Only glitch is parking. It is a fight trying to get street parking as the hotel is located in a popular district. Huge rooms and clean bathrooms.

United Kingdom- We had to cancel our booking in the restaurant as there were limited options for vegetarians. - No iron in the room, and when we asked for one, the ironing board was a mini one with no cover. - The hot water ran out due to maybe it being solar powered? - The fridge in the room was noisy - No seats on the balcony, which would have been nice - The Aircon turned off in the middle of the night every night
- The room was lovely and big - Big bath to enjoy - Staff spoke good English which made this much easier for us! - Friendly staff - Great breakfast with helpful staff - Great location next to most attractions

United Arab EmiratesPerhaps some milk for coffee in the room. Explain in information that there are only two car parks so they need to be booked as parking is hard to find and the police are vigilant- we got a ticket!
The highlight of our stay had to be dinner in the hotel restaurant. The service was professional and friendly but the food was the star. Meeting the Chef and being able to relay our thanks in person was special. The location of the hotel was perfect. A short walk into the centre of Tirana through the vibey streets was fun.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe room has 2 doors to the terrace one cannot lock properly, which felt unsafe especialy for single traveler. Menu at breakfast would be good to have, not to depend on whether the waiter is in the mood to give you the list of options. A lot of stairs. At night it can get loud from the bar below (which I didn't mind). Empty minibar, even no water, which would be nice to have in the city where tap water is adviced not to be drank.

CanadaThe room was extremely tiny and small. It was difficult to move around, as the bed occupies almost the entire dinky space, could not maneuver freely. Moreover, no space for placing your laptop and battery charger, anywhere.

United KingdomI stayed Friday and Saturday nights, and I wasn't told that the bar played extremely loud music late at night, which went for a couple of hours. If I had known, I would have asked for a room at the back and willing to pay more. This was a significant oversight of reception. I would stay again but not over the weekend, due to the music from the bar.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff who helped me with my travel arrangements, great breakfast, and happy to organise an early breakfast on the day of check out.
