I stayed here with my husband in September 2024 and we loved it, so when my daughter and her friend (both 19) wanted to also visit Gjirokaster I booked them to stay 3 nights at this hotel. Hotel staff were once again lovely and helpful (special thanks to Jenny), and the place is beautiful and well located. I felt happy knowing my daughter was in good hands at this hotel.

The stairs had no railing.

Our room was beautiful with rock walls and old-fashioned decoration. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast.

Difficult not to flood the bathroom when having a shower ! Breakfast could have been better if the food and coffee were hot .

Great location in the old town for bazaar and castle , and off street parking. Lovely pool for cooling off .

Private parking, excellent location close to old town, museums and castle. Pool! Laundry service and cold beverages for reasonable prices. A special thanks to Jenny and Eliana. Your service and kindness made our stay even better. Go to Gjirokastra and stay at Praga!

The area around the pool was quite tight with the large sun chairs.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and I loved sitting out on my balcony for reading. Although the pool is small, it was great to be able to relax there at the end of a hot day. Finally, I had to take an early bus to Berat, so a member of staff took me to the station for a small fee. I liked it so much that I hope to return.

The only thing that it will be very helpful is another plug for the fridge as it is next to bed and you can't charge your phone near you, so you have to move the fridge to the another plug or to turn it off😊

Xheni was incredibly nice, polite, and ready to help for anything we needed ❤️ We really enjoyed the pool, which is clean and warm. Everything is clean in the maximum even the area outside is well taken care of. The hotel is spacious as the typical culture of Gjirokastër city with the pool is the perfect combination, especially for the summer days and is totally worth the price of the accommodation. The breakfast was very tasty, especially petulla and komposto! We really recommend this hotel, and we want to say a big thank you for hosting us😊

Our room (delux) was small which is okay except for the fact no where to put anything, cupboard was full with bed stuff and an extra bed took up too much space for the size of the room

Location is fantastic with super views over the city, added bonus is the swimming pool, and the staff were really super friendly & helpful

Great location in the old town just a short walk from the old bazaar etc. The 2 young ladies that work reception here were first class fair play 👌🏼. The pool is also a big bonus after a days sightseeing. Parking available at the property. I’ve added pics of the view from our balcony and the pool.

Nothing, it was perfect :)

The staff were SO lovely and went above and beyond for us. Any help you need, they’ll be there. Xheni was especially lovely, she was so kind and sweet and made us feel so comfortable and safe there. We needed help with ordering food, using the washing machine/ dryers, taxis, getting around and Xheni helped us with everything! The other gentleman who works the night shifts there (so sorry I can’t remember your name) was also so incredibly sweet and out of the kindness of his own heart, he drove us to the bus station after we checked out. We were so touched by that, and all of the lovely service we received. The room was clean, comfy and the hotel had everything we needed. Breakfast was also lovely, with juices, milk, cereal, croissants, sandwiches, etc. The pool area outside was also really nice.

Just to note the beds are memory foam which doesn't suit everyone, and no fridge in the room.

Lovely little hotel. Staff very helpful & friendly. Excellent location close to Gjirokastër old centre. Room spacious & very clean. Good aircon, room quiet at night. The pool area is great and a real oasis from the heat (we were there June). Good breakfast. Recommended.

Lack of pool

The location and hotel were lovely. The drive to the hotel was really scary but we were rescued by Eliana the receptionist. She sorted all out. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed. This was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel.

A Magical Stay – Like Living in History ✨ We felt absolutely amazing during our stay — just magic! It truly felt like stepping back in time and living inside history. We loved every single detail, especially the thoughtful touches the owners have taken such great care with. The breakfast was the richest and most delicious we've ever had! The staff even joked, "You need energy — the city's all up and down!" with a smile that made us feel instantly welcome. The pool was unfortunately down for maintenance, but the staff was very helpful in changing our reservations without charge.

Very cute little hotel, with a family feeling. I couldn't imagine the better place to stay in Gjirokaster - close to the main objects, the house itself is reflecting the style and has a pool, which was amazing for such hot days. Breakfast was delicious!

Top location, super refreshing pool, mega large beautiful rooms with historic feeling, however the hospitality of the staff really make this an amazing hotel. Large selection at breakfast and eggs cooked to order with fresh fruit! Definitely would recommend and hope to come back in the future!
