Everything was perfect, the location is amazing, the food was delicious, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are beautiful and clean. We had a mistake with our booking (our fault) and the manager Mark was very kind and helped us fix it so we could have the best possible stay. We would recommend this place 10000x over, we can’t wait to visit again

Fabulous place with a great view. We loved our stay and we are thankful to the lovely staff. If you take the trail up the mountain, take good hiking shoes with you. It gets quite steep and slippery.

Beautiful location if you’re wanting peace & quiet and to check out Lumi I Shales. Rooms are very basic but the food, though simple, was really good and fresh! The staff organise all transport to and from Shkodër, which is super helpful.

This is a one of a kind experience. Whilst rustic, it has so much charm and everyone is so lovely. Bonus points for the food being really delicious!

Mark was very responsive prior to arrival, and friendly! The location is absolutely gorgeous, a really lovely secluded spot which is great to swim in the lake from, and with a beautiful view of the lake as well. The food was tasty and with good portion sizes. A lovely trip!

Honestly nothing was wrong. Maybe a bit more variety on the menu and a bit of maintenance needed on the pontoon but we loved it overall

- lunch/ dinner. The food is very basic (which I don’t mind) but it was the by plaint and was upsetting my stomach. (If someone has the same problem , you can get some food at Shala River😉)

+ the staff is great + location is perfect + I went in the middle of June, the water temperature was perfect. At Shala River water was freezing + did canoeing for the first time, it was a great experience + breakfast great

The food and drink options were very minimal.

We loved the location and the scenery was stunning. It was a very relaxing stay and being able to get to Shala river every day included in the boat ticket was amazing.

Facilities could be better. The pontoon is really nice but many of the sun beds were broken and needed replacing. Bathroom is a bit dingy but does the job.

The views and organisation of the team at Riverside Komani are efficient and they are able to organise buses from Shkoder to the accomodation. The staff are kind and always up for a joke and a chat

The hotel sits in an incredible location, remote from everything else, so if you are looking for a peaceful stay, it might be the perfect spot. Since this place is ultimately isolated, and the only means of transportation is a boat, you kinda rely on the staff. Luckily, they happen to be helpful as well.

Incredible stay at Riverside Komani. The views speak for themself. We found all the staff to be hospitable and lovely. The services they offer to arrive at the accommodation and to Lumi Shales are fantastic.

The most gorgeous location on the lake with stunning mountain views. Such a perfectly secluded location, with great transport up the Shala River. The owner family were unbelievably friendly and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this accomodation enough!

The location was natural and beautiful it was unique and unspoiled. Food was lovely, staff were very helpful and worked hard. Rooms are cosy and comfortable bed was comfortable and the platform for sunbathing and the free boat to the river were lovely. Exceptional experience

It has a rustic charm that fits perfectly with being out in nature by the river, which really adds to the experience. For light sleepers, just be aware that sounds from other rooms or around the property can carry, so bringing earplugs might be a good idea—but it’s not a major issue

An incredible experience overall: delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff were all so kind and helpful. The surrounding nature is breathtaking, and the water is perfect for swimming. It was honestly one of the highlights of our trip through the Balkans! We only stayed for one night but made the most of it by arriving early and leaving late. If you have the chance, I’d highly recommend booking more than one night.

Absolutely unreal location - so quiet and peaceful. The food was really good and reasonably priced (the included breakfast is very tasty), some lovely swimming spots and loungers to chill on. Easy to get a boat to Shala River and explore there. The staff were so friendly and helpful, would recommend people to stay here rather than stay at Shala River if you are looking for somewhere more peaceful and less touristy.

The food options were very limited, if you stay for 2 nights like us you end up with not a lot of options to eat at noon and evening. Especially if you din’t want to be eating fries 4 times in a row.

It’s a wonderfull place to stay ! The location is just stunning and we liked it even better then the trip to Shalla River. They have a nice pond on which you can relax and the water here is warmer then at the river. Staff was very kind and helping.

Our stay at Komani Riverside was truly unforgettable! The experience feels completely unique, like stepping into a fairytale. The views are absolutely perfect—breathtaking and serene. Every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a magical and relaxing escape!
