How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was plenty and good. The view from the balcony was pretty. The staff was really kind, spoke good english and brought us everything that we needed (blankets, toilet paper, plates etc.). Wifi and air conditioning was fine, parking had a lot of free spaces.
The room was kinda small and felt crowded. The neighbours were loud both in the balcony and outside our door.

Verified reviewSuch a lovely place and people that make you feel at home all the time. The cleaning ladies deserve kudos too. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms and great service. Also, this small hotel has a great advantage of not being in the middle of the street so you can have some peace and quiet at evening. Extra bonus is free parking. We liked our stay here for the full6 days :)
Might be a bit hard to find the first time you come. And I would love it there also was tzaziki to chose for breakfast 🤫

Verified reviewI liked the room because it had a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. The property was also quite close to the beach and shops.
On the downside, the elevator was out of service for two days, which made it difficult to use the narrow stairs. The room itself definitely needs renovation, including the bathroom, where water was leaking all over the floor and the window was leaking when it rained. It was nice that there was a clothes dryer on the balcony, but unfortunately, it was installed directly under the dripping air conditioning unit.

Verified reviewEverything was great! Great willingness from the owner and staff. Helpfulness, as we arrived at the accommodation quite late, as we had a small accident on the way. The rooms were clean, they even changed our room, which we really appreciated, as the first one was too small (no chair, no table). There was no problem with anything. Close to the beach, parking ok, shops, everything was good. And Sandra is great and very nice as a hotel staff! 🤗 We had only a positive experience with her. Thank you and we will be happy to come back! Sincerely Jana.
It would be nice to change the breakfast buffet menu at least once every 3 days. 😉🙏🏻

The hotel was renovated, at least our room but needs more. The balcony was old, the chairs at the balcony and needed a tent because after 14.00 it was impossible to stay at the balcony

Verified reviewThe rooms are relatively small, but you only come here to sleep. The staff is very friendly and they cook very well, both the included breakfast and the extra paid dinner were divine. Nice sea view, shops, restaurants nearby, and the beach is a 2 minute walk. The hotel has its own parking, we highly recommend it.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was amazing, we loved it! When the staff interacted with us they were sweet.
It says reception 24/7 but the staff wasn't there and we've had some issues and needed assistance at night, we couldn't find them and didn't answer the messages through the booking app, so we felt ignored. Also the location is only good if you have a car, is far from the center and the "beachfront" is not real since the beach is private and you need to walk a lot to get to a public beach.
Dear Melinda I am really sorry you had a bad experience as well always try our best to make our customers feel welcomed , we weren’t at the reception as we were downstairs at the restaurant area . Every time you messaged I personally answered to you and came to see what was the problem, expect of one time early in the morning were we were occupied by breakfast or preparation for the day . We also refunded one night to you for all the inconvenience you had. Hope you will be visiting Albania again and you can have a better experience. Also a public beach is 5 min walk.

Verified reviewI really hesitated to write this, but I don't want other travelers to go through the distress I experienced. I booked this hotel three weeks in advance, as another hotel had canceled my reservation due to remodeling. But when I arrived, exhausted and ready to settle in, the hotel was completely shut down. The place was deserted, and even the restaurant had its furniture stacked up as if it hadn’t been open in weeks. After asking around, I discovered that several hotels in the area close for the low season due to fewer tourists. Yet, what’s most frustrating is that the hotel made zero effort to inform me beforehand. A simple notification would have allowed me to arrange alternative accommodations without hassle. Instead, I ended up dragging my luggage around and paying for taxis, scrambling to find a place to stay. This lack of communication and responsibility from the hotel left me stranded, frustrated, and anxious. I would not recommend booking here unless you are willing to risk being left with nowhere to stay.
