How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great guesthouse located in the center of Shkodra. It is perfect if you are willing to do the Theth to Valbona loop, since they arranged the transport to Theth and the return from Valbona via the ferry on the Koman lake. We ask left our van during 3 days in the parking while we were in the mountains

Dificult to find a parking spot in that area. That is expected. The place is very central.
Very friendly host. He even called us on the phone before arrival giving additional infos on the property and its location. Excelent location. 2 - 6 min walk to everything you need in Shkodra.

Just to be a little bit cleaner; the upstairs toilet bin should be emptied maybe more often. But the rest was clean and not full.
The people were super nice. Very helpful, whenever we needed something they were there and did everything for us! Nice and very smiley. The location is amazing, close to everything. Good we could leave our bags here when we went to do the Valbone-Theth hike. We also rented bikes to go to Shiroke and to the Rozafa castle.

The room was huge, the hosts were kind and very helpful and it is quite close to the city center. I felt very welcome as a solo traveller, but it would be even better for groups. The guesthouse also helps with ticket bookings to and from Theth/Valbonë. Definitely recommend!

Everything was great!
Super centrally located with lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, perfect for our early morning bus to Theth the next day. Clean and comfortable room. The parking was private and secure. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend

A really great place, and it’s very easy to get to Valbona from here. They help with tickets for both the bus and the ferry. On top of that, there was an issue with the electricity in our room, so we ended up being upgraded to a large apartment. Highly recommended!

Note that the shared bathroom is outside of the room but there was never a queue or any problem with it at all, and it was very conveniently located to the room so would recommend even if you don't normally opt for a shared bathroom! Could have done with an extra plug or extension cord for one of the beds as no where to plug in phone/lamp - but not a big issue.
Great value for money, lovely outdoor area of the guesthouse and a very functional nice room. We were welcomed with a very friendly introduction to the guesthouse & given lots of recommendations for things to do in Shkodër, including a restaurant we went to which was very nice! Comfortable nights sleep in a good location. Didn't end up using the kitchen or washing machine but nice that they were available.

Quite a few steep stairs on the way up. Not super convenient for suitcases, fine for hiking bags.
Comfy bed, good AC, kitchen looked well equipped. Hosts were nice and helpful. Convenient location.

A lot of noise from dogs barking at night. Many mosquitos on the terrace spaces.
Nice location in a quiet area of Shkoder. The guesthouse features a communal seating/sofa area + bathroom per floor and has airconditioning (necessary in summer). I was lucky to share a few days with some fellow POB trail hikers, which made it feel a little more like an appartment. The owners were friendly and responsive and the property offers the possibility of renting bikes.

The dogs bark at all hours of the night and the rooster goes off at 3.30 am so sleeping is a bit of a challenge. I also paid for parking when I booked on booking.com but then I got charged again at the property €3 per night despised me showing I had already paid in the booking for the 4 nights.
The people that runs the property are lovely and very helpful. The location is close to the fresh markets and 10 minute walk to the Main Street.
