Amazing breakfast and very friendly host

This family-run guesthouse is the place to go in Sarande. The nonsmoking rooms are huge amd clean. There are nice balconies to relax. The house is nicely decorated with flowers and pictures, giving it a personal touch. The delicious breakfast was probably the best breakfast we had in 3 weeks if Albania, and it is worth coming here for the breakfast alone. This guesthouse is located at the beach of Sarande (2 minutes walk). As it is in the second row, you only hear tbe street noise slightly (it is the mist quiet you can get in Sarande because there is a heavy-traffic road directly along the beach). The guesthouse has its own parking which is also really important because parking is a nightmare in Sarande. You will need What’s App to communicate with the guesthouse - they will send you instructions, and you can also call if you have questions (response-time is super-fast).

The only reason I didn’t give ten stars is that indeed, the guesthouse is hard to find. The link to the hotel on Google Maps is exactly where it is. However, the road Google Maps shows to get there, doesn’t exist - you are supposed to pass through a building LEFT of Hotel Pirro (see picture). Instead, you have to turn RIGHT before Hotel Pirro (what looks like the hotel‘s parking lot is actually a road which isn’t marked at Google) and then turn left before pizzeria Anchor into what looks like a courtyard entrance but is actually the official road. From there, it is really easy to find.

The hosts were super nice and attentive, great communication (via google translate), they offered their assistance with our laundry and late check-out, which made it easy on us for the rest of the trip. Breakfast was very rich and fresh.

Very close to the beach , a lot of restaurants , pharmacies, ATMs and everything you need. Excellent breakfast, amazing hospitality , really nice and welcoming family.

Fantastic, family-run guesthouse in Vlora. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, helped us park the car and were super welcoming. Location is excellent if you want to explore Vlora on foot. I was surprised by the very high quality of the rooms : large and airy, excellent bed and shower, strong AC, it was much more comfortable than many of the other hotels we stayed with in Albania. Breakfast on the rooftop is very special - and one of the best hotel breakfasts we had during our trip (plenty of fresh fruits, fresh yogurt, zucchini, eggs, etc). A very nice place to stay in Vlora (also, surprisingly quiet in the evening despite all the nightlife nearby).

Great customer service, the owner was super attentive and helped us make this our home for a night.

Shower curtain was non existent so the floor got quite wet, easy to solve as there where enough towels. Only cash payment.

Host was super welcoming, we had a parking space reserved for us, host gave instructions of arrival in advance, when we arrived he showed us our room, even served with some local raki and recommended one of the best seafood restaurants nearby. Room was great, clean and with all the facilities needed. Breakfast was another amazing thing - big portions, delicious warm food, desserts, fresh fruit, nice view from the terrace. He even got us packages to takeaway our leftovers. Best hospitality you could expect!

Amazing hospitality. The hosts go above and beyond. We arrived a little earlier than check-in time and could leave our luggage; we were on our way to boat trip and they even provided extra towel in a tote bag! Host even checked up on our safety when we were late from the boat trip without any connection. Such gestures are really sweet. Even handling the luggage, providing tips & information about the town - everything was a true example of hospitality. And at this price-point getting the view of the sea from the balcony, the breakfast - it was fantastic. Again, thanks to the kind hosts

Our stay at Ulcas was really great. The apartment is really clean and spacious. The residence is 1 min next to the beach where the main attractions are. We also had a really good recommendation from the host to eat at a fish restaurant with very good price. Breakfast was really good with a nice view on the beach 🏝️

The host family is great, really friendly and helpful. The room was comfy for a one night stay that we had. We arrived late in the evening - after 10 pm, and did get help with parking a car and finding a room. Breakfast was great, served individually at the table with yogurt and fruits, sponge cake, croissant and then full plate with eggs, cheese and some sides.

The location was a bit tricky to find, as google maps was showing the wrong way. Not host fault though

Great location, 1 minute away from the beach! Super Host, he made our life easier and happier. The room was extremelly comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was SUPERB and we took half of it for later. Parking was essential. It’s crowded and difficult to get a place to park in that area, so that was really wonderful.

The hotel was really good, I have complaints about it. It is a lovely family owned hotel who take pride in the service they give. The hotel room was good and clean and so was the bathroom. Had AC and wifi which worked well. The breakfast was very pleasant and filling with seaside views. The hotel was located right by the beach, lots of restaurants, shops and money exchange places nearby. There is free parking as well. The owner gave us Halal chicken for breakfast and recommended a lot of halal restaurants nearby. I loved the experience here!

We booked this room and when we arrived the host said it was overbooked by booking.com. He seemed to have known this already cause he said that this has happened to him for 3 years in a row via booking. Then he sent us to another hotel of his friend that was way older instead of cancelling the booking before our arrival. Highly recommend to NOT book this place cause youre gonna end up somewhere else that doesnt even come close to the pictures shown. The place we ended up had stains on the bed sheets and the overall condition was old and dark. SCAM.

Room was great and modern, big space and nice big bathroom. Location was amazing- right on the front of the main strip. Restaurants and bars all nearby on that same strip as well as the seafront. Would definitely return!

Very welcoming staff! The man that runs it with is his family is one of the friendliest people we've met. He helped us park, carried our luggage, gave us a tasty and elaborate breakfast...

Parking was hard to find, but they helped us. So no real downsides.

The room was spacious, clean, modern, and cozy, with great air conditioning. The owner and his family were absolutely lovely and welcoming. Breakfast on the terrace was exceptional — a real highlight of our stay. It wasn’t very easy to find the place at first, but the owner kindly came to pick us up, which we really appreciated!

Clean accommodation close to the beach. We recommend putting some utensils in the room (glasses, mugs, spoons, corkscrew), otherwise the kettle cannot be used. We also missed chairs in the room. We were glad that there was a fridge. The luxurious breakfast was served on the terrace, we recommend opening the terrace for guests all day. 8/10

Our host was so nice and caring. Perfect start to a holiday. The breakfast was fantastic.
