How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe view from the room and its balkony is stunning: looking over the Hills towards the sea, with Corfu visible at the left. At night, we saw fireflees, while we heard the nightingale singing. This while the moon was shining over the sea. During the day we heard the goats by the Bells around their neck. Lady Tatjana was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The beach at Jare was very nice, with clear water flowing over the pebbles.

The room was clean and comfortable, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding greenery and the sea. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene, a true escape from the bustle of daily life. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the area.

Verified reviewThe view from the balconies is fantastic. I believe there are only two rooms and the balconies are on an angle so you're not staring at each other/both have a great view. Bedrooms are comfortable and definitely spacious enough for a week-long stay. We also really appreciated the mini-fridge in the room, kitchen facilities and washing machine - great for longer-term backpackers! The star of the show was Tatjana herself, who is incredibly welcoming. She checked in on us every day, and made sure we had everything we needed.
Let me caveat that these things are beyond the host's control - I just thought it was worth noting in case you are a digital nomad and working remotely is particularly important. We were unlucky and experienced a couple of storms during our stay. During these, the village lost power and internet and even 4G signal was patchy. However, Tatjana was extra attentive during these - offering us blankets, coffee in her apartment etc. We enjoyed chatting with her while we waited the storm out :)

It was a nice and comfortable villa, with a very spacious room, bathroom and balcony, even with a shared kitchen that had all the necessary amenities. The most unexpected thing was the breathtaking view from the villa. Cherry on top, the host, lady Tatjana was wonderful 😊! Highly recommended!

When we were doing the checkout host told us we have to pay on cash, she didn’t mention anything nor a message or a paper on the room saying so. She doesn’t speak anything apart from Albanian so communication was really difficult. The room had so many spider web, the window on the toilet it was impossible to close, and also, you have to have a car to access to the location, everything is quite far from the property so I recommend you to buy everything you need beforehand, as is quite difficult to access with the car..

We don't take your card details when you book or at any moment from Booking.com. Therefore cash is implied as nowhere it is mentioned that you can pay with card. We are thankful you had the cash ready. The location of the property is clearly marked when you book, and we are sorry you couldn't notice it was not right by the beach. Cleaning is of imperative importance to us, as reviews from many other guests show. That includes extra care against spiders or any other insects, but we can't help if these uninvited guests were attracted by the miserable conditions, and food leftovers everywhere in which you left the room.

Verified reviewWe stayed for 3 nights in Vila Tatjana, but we could have stayed for a much longer time. We just loved it!! I was actually working remotely those days, so I had to use the internet fully during 8 hours and it never failed. In the meantime, I was also enjoying the incredible views over the coast and the national park just below the property. Vuno is also a lovely town to walk around, discover and go for a meal (try Mom's kitchen!) . Tatjana is adorable and incredibly kind and generous. She is always happy to help. What a great stay!
Everything worked well. AC, fan, (we didn't try TV as the view was the best TV you could buy) and we loved our days there.

The drive in to the villa is pretty steep, you have to be a good driver to get in (and to drive in the area in general)
