The toilet was a bit smelly

It is such a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and wind down. The calmness of Filoxenia is perfect for a quiet stay. The hosts Anna and Thimios are very welcoming and kind. They cook amazing dinner on the fire.

One thing that we really noticed is that we heard everything happening outside around our room. Rooms felt private, but we were woken up in the morning by people talking loudly outside. Not the hotel’s fault, but was a bit frustrating. WiFi was also a bit spotty but other than that this place is amazing

Great rooms, very cozy and well equipped. The location is also very nice and relaxing, in the mountains and a short 15min walk from the city and very close to plenty of nice beaches. You feel nicely secluded and are surrounded by goats and olive trees. The air is even a bit cooler which is nice. Staff is kind and accommodating, sharing local recommendations and providing plenty of services and products. The rooms have AC and a nice shower. Everything is stone and they stay pretty cool even during the hot summer days. We loved our time here.

Nothing, can’t fault it.

Beautiful property with a lovely green, flowery garden. With extras such as a hammock, outdoor kitchen, lots of seating and not to mention the most amazing hosts, we had the best stay.

Loved this guest house! Wish I could have stayed a few nights, but we only had one. The grounds, the room and the shared kitchen are awesome. The host is really friendly and welcoming.

To start, the hosts are great. The atmosphere is something that calms you with a farm/homestead vibe. I recommend ordering the dinner and breakfast as they are well worth the money. Their own wine is tasty as well. I really recommend this place for at least two nights (we stayed for one and regretted not being able to book another). The room is really nice: we had a separate little shack for ourselves.

There is simply nothing not to like here.

Filoxenia is an absolute gem in the middle of nature. You can relax and unwind on the terrace in front of the natural stone rooms and in the spacious garden with olive trees. The hospitality of Thimios and his family made our stay in Himarë a wonderful experience!

Great owners go out of their way to make sure your stay is fine. There is a mutual dining area and you can use kitchen facitilies to prepare own food (which is a nice touch). Would come again.

We loved our stay and were blown away with the generosity of the owner. The stone and wood cabins set in such a beautiful garden in a quiet location were a dream. The location is 20 mins walk from some amazing beaches and the town- the distance resulted in a relaxed stay away from the busy centre. Must try their yummy jams! Thanks so much for everything Thimjo and for having us at Filoxenia. Highly recommend :)

The property is unique and very special. Beautiful orchard of olive trees that they produce excellent oil from. Didn't have a chance to try their wine but they make a good raki. Good breakfast too 😋.

I can't think of anything that could be improved. Our hosts apparently have listened to suggestions of their guests over the years and are managing to cater for a range of diverse guests.

This was an exceptional accommodation- a peaceful green oasis in which to relax and chat and read and sleep in absolute silence. Not a small contribution to our super relaxing stay was made by the caring, strong and very professional massage by Ana. Book it now, both room and massage, you wont regret it. The area has plenty to offer, 3 nights were not enough to visit it all.

Bring mosquito spray! We did not sit outside because of this.. Also there is no sitting area in the room. You don’t really need one, go explore all the nice beaches and restaurants in Himare.

The very stylish rooms and lovely garden. Great combination of old and new. Within the garden several nice places to chill out and feel private. Great shared outdoor kitchen that is well equipted. Everything clean and very comfortable bed in a silent area. Very welcoming guest that take the time for you and help with great tips for the neighbourhood. 100% recommend!

Thimios and Anna were fabulous hosts and we ate with them 3 out of 4 nights during our stay. Food was excellent. Such a calm and relaxed environment and plenty to do in Himare. Easy to walk to (taxi back up the hill) and the beach is good. Massages from Anna were fantastic. We would definitely recommend.

The road. The road is an enormous minus for this place. There are some 500-600 m of awful road. It's Very hard to go walking to the city because of all the dirt and with the car.. is experience 😁

We loved our three night stay at Filoxenia! It truely made our time in Himare. We visited during peak season and were so glad the accommodation was a decent way from the busy centre. The place is stunning and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. We are grateful Thimios and Ana for their wonderful hospitality.
